Some lovely items there @old_fogey and I love the beadwork - especially the turquoise beaded one in the top picture.
I am looking forward to my hobbycraft items coming as I know I will want to sit and play with most of them but to be honest they are all linked and will make like easier especially the guillotine because I like to card make and will be using my cricut a lot this year.
Other than that I dont really venture into craft shops unless we happen to be passing which isnt very often.
I have made a little more progress on my robin cross stitch. I am doing it in the evenings to keep me busy and stop me from snacking with the goal to get a colour or two done.
Also I think Ill make real progress this weekend as my daughter 12 is going away on her first school trip so she will be away from Friday morning until Sunday afternoon and its the first time she has gone anywhere without me. So I plan to cross stitch or craft to keep busy!

@sammy_kaye18 your Robin is coming on nicely. You are like me. Whenever I am a bit anxious I start spring cleaning or crafting. Lots gets done. 😂🤣craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Thanks for your kind comments @sammy_kaye18 and @Soontobeoap.
@sammy_kaye18 the guillotine will be wonderful. On the YouTube tutorials I watch, they look so much more accurate, and can cut multiple thicknesses. Let us know how you get on. That Robin is definitely growing!
I have been through my sewing box. Years ago, we were at an auction and saw a box full of craft things, new cross stitch kits, completed but not made up tapestries etc etc. Bought it, and there was just so much stuff. Anyway, some of that is in this box- eg a beautiful completed needlepoint piece to make into a glasses case. I will finish it soon, need to find some suitable lining material. There is also some sparkly aida, and some perforated paper, which I have never used before, maybe I will make some Christmas Decorations with them.
On the downside, that means there is WIP from me, my mum, and this other lady to finish!
I am finding this group very helpful in concentrating my mind and motivating me, thanks2025 craft items finished 11/12

Hi all. I am loving this thread. 😊. I have just joined the commitee of our local community club. We are in the process of setting up a crafting session twice a month to start with and just wondered if any of you had any ideas of how to run one or a catchy name for the group. Was thinking of calling it crafternoons from Stacey Solomans programme but unfortunately it is being held in morning.
Making christmas cards out of last years and this years special cards at the moment. Will post pics when i have finished a batch.

@Soontobeoap the craft group sounds fab, we'll done for taking it on.
My mum used to go to one called knit and natter, and I think there was one called craft and chat.
Still tidying, but have found my next piece to finish. It will be a case for my tablet. I made one for my husbands kindle, and then started this one. Half a front done, then sat there for two years, typical! This is the current state.

Hi everyone, I've been really busy lately. Oldest granddaughter was 10 on Monday and youngest granddaughter will be 3 on Tuesday. I've made lots for younger one but the 10 year old is past the home made stage 🥴 . They live in opposite sides of Scotland and a round trip to visit either of them takes me 5-6 hours depending on buses and trains running smoothly. It's hard going but I ❤️my visits.
Ive finished the 4 pairs of baby bootees and just ready to start quilting the baby quilt. I'm hoping to finish it in a couple of days so will post pics then.
I'm going to start that denim Aran waistcoat again. I can't put it off any longer 🥴. I'm going to do a tension square first in a basket weave stitch. I will then take time to adjust it to fit another pattern. It better work this time as it nearly drove me mad last year 😡
Ive got all my colours together ready to start my temperature blanket. I have recorded the daily temperatures and I'm looking forward to trying crochet again.@daisy_1571 I love your basket. I was given a hamper at Xmas and am now using the basket for my crochet project. The basket's not in great condition so it might be an idea to make a cover for it. I had thought of painting it but a cover would be smoother.

This is my very favourite thread on mse. So many inspiring ideas for using up my stash. Hoping to finish patching up our favourite quilt cover whilst using up lots of tiny beads today. Also have a sleevless over jumper made 3 years ago but needs finishing. Seems to make sense to finish half done projects first. Dont know when i will get round to my list of hpusehold jobs! 😅🤣craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,
