2023 - No Craft Spending - I WILL bust my stash and make pretty things!!!!!

Hi, I have joined the challenge in previous years and posted at the end of the year on last years thread. I mainly sew, knit and crochet and also revamp/ renovate small pieces of furniture. At the moment we are having building work in the sitting room so I have not done very much crafting at all this year as we have had nowhere to sit in an evening. At the moment I am doing a Noah's Ark cross stitch as it is small and doesn't need a large space to spread out in a dusty house!
I will only buy to finish off a project and finish UFO's first. I won't set a target as some of my UFO's will take an age. I will be interested in how many things I do produce in a year though.
Love the photo's,lovely work.

I have totally cleared out and wallpapered under stairs cupboard that houses a lot of my kitchen paraphanalia. Have had this wallpaper 3 years and finally got around to it. It was very tricky as every sheet had angles and bits to cut around but I am extremely pleased with it and not ashamed to open door any more. I am counting it as a craft project.
On a negative note, I went to the Range today for some card blanks for my neighbours christmas cards. ( I make them up for her from her old Christmas cards). The cards cost £17.97 but I also bought some reduced christmas ribbon and some stickers! All reduced of course! So craft stash total is already at £29.34.
I wrestled with myself but always need different sized card blanks and they will last a few years. As for the other bits. They would have been full price when I needed them so I figure that I have saved money. Time will tell.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £35.96 spent, 144 made and 5 mended,

Love the wallpaper Soontobe!
Great to see people's makes.
I need to get busy as got 3 family birthdays in Feb to make cards for and then a friend's birthday in March (I am making a seed organiser book and post it notepad). And MIL has asked for some cards too - she likes to see what I've made and sometimes she buys them off me4 -
Ooops I didn’t do that well at this last year. I started off well but quickly fell off the wagon of determination and rolled into the fabric shop

I’m back to try again with a resolution that if I can’t at least do no spend then I will do controlled spend.Have a craft fair in March so aiming for at least 30 makes out of the stash before then

My first go at porcelain painting. I want to try lettering next. Has anybody got any tips? Bought plate in charity shop for 20p before christmas and was bought paints as a Christmas present. I am hoping to improve and make some sharing plates for presents nect Christmas. That way the people I gift them to can pass it on if they don't want to keep it.

Lovely colours Soontobeoap
if you’re lettering then cocktail sticks can sometimes work better than brushes x

@Stashbuster my handwriting is not good enough to do free hand. I keep thinking about having a go at calligraphy. Perhaps I should try that first! Have you ever done any writing on artwork? I wondered about a transfer? Would love to see some examples if you have tried. I would also love to do lettering on a chalk board so could really do with some tips. I am determined to learn new things this year.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £35.96 spent, 144 made and 5 mended,
