No makes, but I was at the NEC for national outdoor expo and didn't go to the Creative Craft show or stitching for pleasure- they were on at the same time. Very proud of myself for resisting 😁

No more makes here but for Mothers day I recieved some more porcelein paints (pastel colours this time), a crochet pattern book, some porcelein shapes to paint and some pastel acrylic paint. I was very lucky. I am excited to get going. I have to keep reminding myself to get Chritmas finished first! 😂craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Hi,so many posts since I was last here.which is great.
Thank you all for your kindness about MIL. It is the funeral on Thursday and a friends funeral on Wednesday sadly. My daughter is also visiting this week so no crafting for me until things settle down.
Sorry about the confusion with the chocolate orange Rudolph pics. They sold like hot cakes and I have made hundreds in my time. So quick and easy to do. Just wrap the box in brown paper and stick eyes and pom pom nose. For the antlers I cut a pipe cleaner in half and twisted them into shape and glued them on. Another thing I have done is wrap a bar of chocolate in white paper and drawn a snowman face on.As I used to work at a Primary School we had a never ending supply of odd gloves. Aldi sell sticks of chocolate in a pack. I stuck a white sticker over the wrapper.drew a snowman face and cut the fingers off the gloves to make little hats. Stuck a pom pom on,very cheap to make and a good seller. Washed the gloves first !
Sammy Kaye,I hope things have calmed down a bit at your house now. The exhibition was called Colour with Kaffe. All the items were spread around the house and looked perfectly at home. Quilts on beds, cushions on chairs. I was most taken with the knitted shawls, perhaps because anything other than basic knitting eludes me.
Cupcake,I am very sorry to hear about your dog, pets leave such a hole in our lives when they go. I am sure he/she had the best life.x

vulpix - thanks for the help with visualising the Rudolph makes. I hope to make chocolate orange covers for Christmas if I can find an offer on the chocs. I paid 99p/£1 for the ones I have used.
I have packaged my makes - to keep them clean + I think good presentation helps sales. My Dd took 8 bunny bags to school today and they sold before lunchtime.

Looking through a crochet pattern book today I selected cotton yarn from Amazon and put it into my basket! 🥴. Remembered just in time that I am using up my stash and not buying any more until all of my listed projects are finished! It has given me the incentive to keep going. 🙂. Hope pthers arehaving a good day.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Well, the plan for the pink Aran yarn won't do as there is not enough to knit dgd a cardigan for Easter. I'm unsure what to do now. I'll search my wool stash tomorrow and see if I have anything suitable. A lot of my wool is too dark or wintery. Some of the dk yarn I have used for dgd recently so don't want to knit a similar cardi. Decisions decisions 🤔but I'll have to be quick deciding as I only have a couple of weeks left. If I don't find anything in the morning I'll pop into town in the afternoon.Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order

Has anybody on here ever tried bead embroidery. It is something that I am tempted to try as I think it would be a great way to update clothes. All of the kits to try it out seem very expensive and I am not sure which beads or size needles to use. Been a while since I’ve been on, I trotted off to my first craft fair of the year but didn’t sell much (boooo!).We’ve had a rough month with various illnesses 😩 but now we’re all on the mend I’m getting back to the stash and using it up.
two good friends are about to become parents so I will be getting to sew some little bits of loveliness.
while I’ve been gone I have managed to make a memory bear (pictured), a small handful of greeting cards that use up some of my buttons, and I’m currently putting the finishing touches to a batch of children’s skirts.Chipping away at the craft stash one item at a time
2023:
10 cards
3 baby dresses
8 scrunchies8
