@plumduff55 love the sweater for DGS. One of my favourite things was when my grandmother would make myself and my sister jumpers. She made a few crackers over the years - ones with ninja turtles on, ones with rows of liquorice all sorts, peter rabbit complete with pom pom tail on the back, sure there was a donald and daffy duck as well as one that i remember was lines of neon colours specifically pink. One of our favourite memories is she made our dad (her son) a jumper with a giant carp on the front of it and he lovingly wore it all Christmas day. I think we have a picture as proof but I never did see that jumper again. I do remember though when I was 15 she made me a black and white knitted block jumper and I wore that thing to death, stretched it beyond belief and only got rid of it a few years ago because it was unwearable. I do have a crocheted blanket she made me when I was 15 though which is upstairs in my cupboard and much loved as well as baby blankets she made each of my children.
@Soontobeoap have you finished all your cards now?
@Florenceem the bunnies are so cute. I love chocolate oranges and I'm hoping maybe the Easter bunny might allow me one at Easter so I can have a few sections a day without setting my diabetes all out of whack.
Well today I have done an errand with the husband and driven down to another town to pick up my sons mountain bike, he rang as we were leaving that his college was off for the day so we picked him up and surprised him.
Got home and husband worked on our van and changed the oil, whilst I potched around in the garden, did the dreaded poop scooping (one dog isn't so bad but 3 dogs is just yuck!) but then did fill a few boxes and empty some old containers to put new soil in and now waiting patiently until the beginning of April to get planting.
Did come in and use some of my stash and made 3 mothers day cards (my MIL, my step mum and my actual mother). Just trying to figure out how to decorate the card for my mum since I have cut the lettering out but think it looks a bit bare.
Just had my white pen arrive too so I can finish a belated card for my step mum for her birthday and then I have another card to make for my nans birthday on the 23rd but I'm trying to figure out what to get her still.
Time to find me again6 -
@sammy_kaye18 I still have plenty of cards to make for neighbour using her recycled ones. The diamond painting ones are mine.
Also have a friend who works at food bank. They take clothing too and I have a couple of childrens hats that I am making, so hoping to get those finished before I see her at singing next Tuesday.
Today I have finished this little dress that I started making for my youngest granddaughter. She will be 2 in May! 😅😂🤣. Still DDs friend has just had a little girl so it will come in handy for her hopefully. The top is crocheted in cotton and the skirt is obviously fabric. I have never tried this before but I have so much material to use up.

Hi, I've had a lot of pain from the filling I had 3 weeks ago. This morning I got an emergency appointment and had to have the wisdom tooth removed 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱. I was absolutely terrified as the only other time I had a tooth removed I was about 10 years old and was sedated with gas. To this day I can recall the gas smell and having the black mask put over my face. The procedure today was not as bad as I'd expected but I still walked from the surgery a quivering wreck.I'm now having a lazy day and am very relieved that it's all over. I tend to suffer from verbal diarrhoea when I'm nervous and must compliment my dentist who listened patiently to all my rubbish chat 🤪.
@sammy_kaye18 Lovely to hear of all your grandma's knitting. I used to do lots of picture knitting for my kids and my older grandkids when they were young. I'm not got as much patience these days as sewing in all the ends is such a chore. They are lovely though.
@Soontobeoap Lovely wee girl's outfit. I ❤️The crochet top.
I think I'll get my knitting out now and listen to the budget. That should take my mind off my sore mouth 🥴Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

Poor you @plumduff55. What a dreadful day you have had. Dont think the budget has much to cheer you up either! 🤔
Have just finished one hat. Have played with crafts all day apart from going for blood tests! Beef stew is slowly cooking for tonights dinner and I am off to do a quick flick around the bathroom as a man from British Gas is coming to do a boiler service tomorrow.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Hiya, long time no see. Real life took over. I had a never ending bug then about a week in which I finished the curtains and upcycled a chest of drawers for grandchild to be then my Mother in Law passed away. I haven't been home much since. I am at the moment in a fabulous B&B in Wales. We had booked it prior to everything as a birthday treat for me. Tomorrow we are going to Powis Castle to the Kaffe Fassett exhibition.
Beautiful things have been created on here, I love the diversity and being introduced to crafts I had never heard of!
My oldest UFO I worked out was 38 years old. I started a paper piecing patchwork when I was 18 and my daughter found it in the airing cupboard. It was all 70's pattern material, some had rotted and had to be replaced.Finished it and DD has it now.
I have bought white baby wool and pattern book, not started anything yet. I have also made 2 hot water bottle cosies with scraps of wadding and curtain lining. I have crochet granny squares and have had a few feeble goes at crocheting them into a cover but I can't concentrate much.
When things calm down a bit I will get stuck in and finish off some UFO's
