No I’ve no idea where the post went 😂😂😂 maybe I didn’t press post 🤷🏻♀️Anyway it was just a moan about me being organised and actually weighing my porridge and measuring my milk - only for it to explode all over the microwave 😳 I did one better this morning though I had the porridge and milk in a bowl on the work surface. Decided to get some lentils out of the cupboard to put in some chicken soup I was making from stock I’d made yesterday whilst having breakfast. Anyway it’s a bit of a reach and as I was getting the lentils down another packet fell from the cupboard STRAIGHT INTO MY BOWL OF OATS AND MILK 😳😂😳😂. I didn’t think 40g of oats and some milk could travel so far 😵💫 It was up the cupboards and all over the fridge and the floor. There were some packets of barmcakes that were totally covered. So I ended up washing all sorts of food stuff and wiping everything down. By this time it was beginning to go sticky so it was a job and a half. That’ll teach me to finish one job and not ‘butterfly’ between jobs. Anyway the soup was made and put in the slow cooker to finish off and keep hot so I could eat it as soon as I came in from tai chi. Very tasty it was too 😁
I had a bit of a lazy day yesterday, a friend came around and I cooked a chicken in my air fryer for the first time for our dinner . I was a tad concerned it was cooked properly so I shredded it straight away to make sure. It was fine. I put the bones and some veg straight in the slow cooker to make the stock for the soup today. So even though the chicken was more expensive than they used to be it was still good value as I got 4 meals yesterday, at least 4 big bowls of soup….maybe more and there is still enough for 2 main meals and maybe a sandwich.
I went to tai chi this morning and my ankle is so much better than last week when I went. It’s sore in a different part - along the back of my heel. Doc didn’t think the steroid would reach that far…..it hasn’t sorted it properly but has dulled that area and completely sorted nearer the front of my foot 😀
Anyway after the nurse putting the fear of God in me about my BP and telling me it was very high risk of stroke at the level it was reading and I was to read it yesterday and get straight onto my GP if it was still as high. It was back to my normal….which is still slightly high but nothing like it was. I’ve really decided I need to watch my diet and eat foods that help keep levels down - hence the porridge 👍
im making a cheese and onion pie for Dh but have cooked lots of onions and measured them SW cheese allowance for me so I still get the flavour with air fried chips and beans 😁
I have sent a letter of complaint about the restaurant service at weekend to the head office and the restaurant…..will see if it gets anywhere?
Right hopefully this will get where it’s supposed to go and not into hyperspace 😂😂January spends - £587.582 -

I should be going out tomorrow - something I didn’t really want to do but I felt obliged. I’ve just had a phone call cancelling - hope I didn’t sound too relieved when I got the call 😏. The person who asked me to go is very hard work….it would have been a long day. It will be rearranged but I’m not in any rush….let it run it’s course 👍January spends - £587.580

I’m quite liking the Quaker porridge to go bars at the moment….a little dry, but a nice flavour when you chew them and unspillable (another new word 😁) at my desk.Excellent news about the cancellation. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I weighed in this morning and had a 1 lb gain but I’ll take that as last week wasn’t natural as I’d taken all the nasty clear out prep. I’m still at half a stone but I’m upping my exercise with my new found enthusiasm for aqua aerobics and I’m trying to eat less upf . It’ll pay off in the end…I’m sure .plus I’m listening to the tapes I purchased earlier this year and it feels like a mindset change as if it’s coming together.
Its our 45th wedding anniversary tomorrow and we are using a voucher we had bought us for an afternoon tea in a big city an hour away. It’s on a barge around the old docks, which are now a big tourist attraction. But after that I’m determined to get straight back onto the healthier eating.
No cash spent again 😀
Right better continue tidying up and then I managed to get a cancellation slot at aqua aerobics 👍January spends - £587.582 -
Just had a lovely letter from the restaurant we visited on Sunday. Also got a £30 e voucher 👍January spends - £587.581
