There is a lot of work in things Beanie….especially the small fiddly things. I suppose if you were paid by the hour it wouldn’t be much be much per hour for some hand crafted items. I suppose it because I only do it as a hobby they seem expensive to me.January spends - £587.580

Ds came around yesterday and we headed for a local walk under blue skies- ha ha - clouds watched until we were at the furthest stretch from the house and boy did the heavens open. We didn’t get as wet as I expected as the trees gave us a bit of cover and then we stood under a bus shelter. We’d just got to a pub where we were going to have a coffee and the sun came out again. So we headed home before the next deluge.
Paid £12 to the window cleaner for the outside and inside downstairs this morning - worth every penny 👍
I’ve got a hospital appointment so need to leave in about 10 minutes and I’m at the opticians for an eye test in the morning. I go to the best places 😂😂 I’ll park a 10 minute walk away from the hospital as parking is atrocious and expensive 😡 Hopefully it’ll be dry as I don’t fancy turning up like a drowned rat.January spends - £587.581 -
Totally fed up.com
I went for the infusion yesterday. They weren’t sure whether they’d go ahead or not but the pharmacist got onto a consultant and they decided it would be ok. One of the blood measurements they’d taken last week was only just in the acceptable range and is quite low. Last time I had the infusion there was a doctor there prescribing it, but I suppose to get around the strikes yesterday, the pharmacist did the job. She was lovely and very thorough. Anyway that’s it with the infusion for another year. She is getting onto my GP to get the low measurement looked at again. I dare say that’ll mean more blood tests 😏 I’m hoping it’s just a glitch.
I went for an eye test this morning and have chosen new specs which I’ll pick up next week. I got Dh to drop me in town on his way to work as I wanted a mooch around. I was very impressed with the brand sparkly new M&S food hall 😀 it’s a good job I didn’t have the car or I could have easily ended up with a trolley full of food I didn’t need 😳 the rest of the town still needs a lot of new shops to take over the empty premises. It quite sad. I went into the big hobby shop as I wanted some broad elastic to make some trousers. It was £2.50 a metre…..I wasn’t prepared to pay that much so headed up to the market to the trusty old button man. £1.40 for TWO metres…..it’s very slightly narrower that the hobby shop….about 1/4 inch, but I’ll live with that. All I bought in town was a dozen eggs as I’ve been to 3 supermarkets since weekend and there’s been none to be had, elastic and shoe polish as I knew I couldn’t carry a lot. I did go for a cuppa and teacake so that was £4. My ankle was really giving me grief so I ended up having to sit down for another cuppa then I had a sandwich at the market and another sit down and cuppa 😳 I’d intended having dinner at home but I was starving and needed to sit but I don’t think £3.20 for a freshly made sandwich and tea in a China cup was bad 😁. I really struggled walking home as my foot had swelled so much, I’m sitting with it up. Roll on ankle injection.
Tomorrow my job is to send my bill for the new glasses so I can claim some cash back.January spends - £587.581 -
Hopefully the low measurement is just a glitch 🤞 It’s such a shame about town centres and all the closed down shops. Ours is the same it’s very sad but unfortunately a sign of the times hastened by the pandemic.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

I don't think the ever increasing parking charges help either. It puts up the price of everything so much when they already tend to be more expensive than out of town.

It's all been about the medical stuff in your world lately then milann - glad to hear all went well and as others have said with luck the low level on the blood test will just be a glitch and will have righted itself by the next one.
Our town centre is also looking quite sorry for itself these days - although it seems to have been a steady decline over the last 15 years or so, Covid definitely made it far worse though.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I was in bed at 8 pm last night. Feel slightly more human this morning. I’m just going for a swim. It’s exercise and not weight baring so I really think I need to keep it up. I’ve got the membership soo might as well use it. I’ve just had a quick dust and hoover around so I can chill when I get back 😁January spends - £587.580
