I ended up joining an aqua aerobics class. I haven’t managed to do one since I had the surgery 2 years ago. I used the smallest dumbbells and took it easy, especially with my arm but I really enjoyed it. We had a great laugh and chatted in the jacuzzi with a couple of the ladies afterwards. It really seems to have loosened me up so I’ve booked again next week 😀 The term ‘kill or cure’ comes to mind 😂😂. I was very good and came home for a cuppa instead of going in the cafe.
It was lovely to come home to a tidy house ( not that it ever gets that bad with 2 of us) and I’m sitting chilling now…..I just want to put the dried bedding back on the bed then I’m all done again. The sun is shining and it’s an unexpectedly beautiful afternoon 🌞January spends - £587.580 -
I really think the aqua aerobics did me good yesterday. I’ve been feeling very stiff around the middle but it is so much better and the aqua is the only thing I can put it down to 😁 I suppose the weight of the water made movements I just can’t do ‘on land’ helped. I’ve booked for Monday and Wednesday next week. I’m a bit wary of going too mad though as I often end up doing….all or nothing type of gal 😂😂January spends - £587.582

We ended up going to the building society yesterday and sorted ISA s into a higher interest account. 5.5%…..I could probably get better on line but we wanted an in branch deal. It’s certainly better than we had previously 😁 From there we visited my sil…..I should have been going out last night but she was really down in the dumps and asked us to go for a meal with her. I didn’t have the heart to say no, so we went to a local carvery….her treat. It was a nice meal and I only had 1 potato the rest of my plate was filled with veg and meat
I went to SW this morning and lost 1lb….I’d hoped for more but we ate quite late last night. I’ll take the loss happily. I went for a swim afterwards. Dh is working so I’ve had an extra day to myself….I’ve really enjoyed my time at home since the last outing in Millie.
I had a rubbish nights sleep….not sure if it was the late meal, being wound up about sil or the thought of the procedure next week. I came down at 2.30 and listened to one of my calming tapes….I did nod off after that. From Wednesday it’s white food……there’s a list of what I can eat. It always takes me back to going for surgery several years ago when I was on the same low residue diet….I’ll never forget the plate of food served me. A grey mass 🤢 which was supposed to be steamed white fish, a blob of lumpy mash and mushy cauliflower🤢🤢. The smell was horrendous when I took the cover off the meal…..it went straight back on. I couldn’t eat it. I’m not a fish lover at the best of times. Anyway my white food will consist of lots of chicken and I’m not sure what else yet. Thursday it’s clear liquid only and 2 litres of the most horrendous ‘cleansing’ drink along with another litre of water. I’d better have a loss at sw next week 😂😂😂😂….better think of the positives 😂😂😂😂 I’m thinking of weighing in at 8 am as I don’t need to be at the big hospital in town until 11 on Friday. The supplies have arrived from the stoma nurse so I’m all set for the ordeal. Roll on Saturday when it’s all over. I’ve had the procedure done several times before - the normal way and I’ve had the medication with a stoma before I had the last stoma reversal surgery reversal but Ive never actually had the camera into the stoma. A couple of times I’ve watched on the screen with just enough medication to calm me - I found it fascinating but a couple of times I’ve no recollection of having it done…..I’m hoping it’ll be the latter this time. Anyway enough of that doom and gloom talk 👍😀Oh after saying the other day I wished they’d hurry up with the ankle injection, I had I phone call and go at the beginning of August….my hip one is the end of August - so they should work well together 😁😳 I’ll be running come September 😂😂😂😂 in my dreams 😂😂and hopefully that’ll be the end of hospital visits for a while. I’m presuming this procedure on Friday will just show something I already know about 🤞🤞
Not much planned this weekend - we will see ds at some point but nothing else is planned….the weekend can just unfold and see what occurs 😁😁January spends - £587.582 -
