Not sure I like the new MSE format. I got quite a surprise when I looked for my bookmarked threads and had to search for them 😳
£10 spent today on a tram ticket and birthday card for my brother. Visited him and went with his wife to a knit and natter group. Met Dh at the tram station on my return home and had tea in Spoons. I had chicken with salad.January spends - £587.581 -
Lovely day out with a friend in big city nearby. I’m nipping around to a different friends for a little birthday drink as it’s her birthday tomorrow 😀
Not sure where these last few days have gone. Can’t believe it’s Thursday and Dh will be off work tomorrow…we haven’t got a lot planned as I think we’re both tired after all our gadding about.January spends - £587.581 -
I was chatting with a friend last night about time passing quickly. It made me realise we’re over half way through the year and I’m still the same old me as I was in January…..where’s ‘the new me in 23’….I was full of enthusiasm. It’s just ebbed away and I’m back to my old eating habits. I haven’t listened to the tapes I paid handsomely for and they were changing my mindset. Mmmmmmmmm food for thought😏
So I’m going back to listening to the tapes rather than waste the cash I paid for them 👍January spends - £587.581 -
I went to SW this morning and was surprised to have only gained 1/2lb. I was expecting more but I’d been pretty good before my weekend away. We have no trips planned until September so I’m hoping to make headway into the weightloss. We have an afternoon tea booked on a barge around the docks in a city not far from us on our anniversary in a couple of weeks…..otherwise I don’t know of anything that’ll get in the way.I used my gym membership today for the first time in a long time. I had a swim and went in the jacuzzi for a while. I really do enjoy it and find it relaxing so I need to do it more often…I’m paying for it and not using it 😏Dh met ds and they went out looking at cars for ds. He has ordered one so is a happy chappy tonight.I’m hoping to pop in to see the friend who had the birthday earlier this week again tomorrow and on Sunday will go out with ds and Dh somewhere. We had a very lazy day yesterday as we were both shattered.Dh cooked tea and I don’t think I moved far from my chair. I’ve been having some really vivid dreams which are so realistic involving people I’ve known at different periods of my life….but they are all together in places they shouldn’t be. I’m waking up more tired than when I go to bed 😳January spends - £587.582

Have you been eating too much cheese 😆 I’ve had some bizarre dreams after a pizza late at night on holiday before 😬I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

I’ve heard the tale about cheese causing dreams, but it’s the first time I’ve actually heard of it really happening 🤭 I thought it was something mums put out there to stop you eating all the cheese for supper. @Sun_Addict I’m not sure there is such a thing as too much cheese?

I haven’t been eating any more cheese than usual and don’t often eat anything after 7.30 so not sure what’s going on. I’m wondering if I’m still processing not working as there are always folk from work involved. They’re very nice dreams….nothing scary or nasty. I used to have dreams when Dh had to get up at silly o clock when he was on breakfast shift at work and I dropped back to sleep. I could be dreaming after a loo trip in the night but I’m not sure 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️Not planning many if any spends today. We’re going to sort Millie out and I want to pop over to my friends for an hour. I’ve taken lamb steak out of the freezer but not sure how to cook them yet. I’m got to consult one of my many cookery books that spends more time on the shelf than in the kitchen. I need to use them so at least once a week - so that’s my plan 👍January spends - £587.581

Had a lovely hour or so with my friend. I’ve been crocheting a bag using simple squares. It’s to show folk at the craft group what can be made using a very simple stitch. My friend had a spare zip for me so this afternoon we’ve virtually finished it. She inserted the zip…I can do a zip but she had machined it in place before I’d thought about how to tackle it 😂😂 she also lined it for me. She has an industrial machine that is permanently set up so it took her minutes 👍 I just want to finish a little bit of hand stitching near the zip and I might crochet a flower to finish it. I’m quite pleased with it and will use it as a craft bag. I saw a similar one in a gift shop in St Ives….they wanted £45 😳😳😳 it has cost me £2 maybe £3 at the most 1 and 1/2 balls of dk wool from a cheap shop. Ok I’ve had the zip gifted to me and spent a few hours in dribs and drabs crocheting. But £45 😳😳😳😳 some folk have more money than sense. I’m not even sure it was lined with a zip in the shop 😳
I made a delicious lamb traybake from a SW book. I’ll definitely be doing it again. I made a slight alteration by adding sliced new potatoes instead of butter beans….I think it’s the first time I’ve done any ‘proper cooking’ for a while. I’ve been using home made ready meals or we’ve eaten out since before we went away.I’m seeing ds tomorrow. I’ve no idea what we’re doing as the forecast looks very iffy. Hopefully it’ll be a low spend. We do have some Zizziiii restaurant vouchers to use before mid August so tomorrow might be the day.January spends - £587.580
