I hope you feel better soon.
Can you write to the breakdown and ask them for proof that you agreed to auto renewal? I’d be very surprised if they have it. You could even try logging a case on resolver? It might not be a lot, but it’s the principle.

Ahh stress can indeed leave us feeling rubbish - hopefully an early night will have done the trick.

Annoying about the breakdown cover - if you need another provider I'd highly recommend looking at A X A - we've used them for a few years now and have been delighted on the couple of occasions that we've needed to use them - the price is competitive as well and I seem to recall that their cut-off for raising premiums substantially due to age is 15 years old rather than 10.

We had a nightmare with breakdown cover last month for the van. We ran a price comparison specifically searching for motorhome breakdown cover. The cheapest quote came out as 2Gether who we have used for the cars for many years and have been happy with their service. So we were happy to use them for the van as well. When the policy documents came through immediately after we bought the cover, hidden in the small print was that they don't cover motorhomes.

So I immediately cancelled the cover. The next day I got a refund minus £10 cancellation fee. I immediately lodged a complaint and for the £10 back a few days later.

We have since taken out breakdown cover with LV instead for a very similar price but did double double check that they would cover the motorhome.

I feel slightly more human today but not fully energised. I went to bed at 8 last night and didn’t get up until gone 10 this morning  and only had boiled water from lunchtime yesterday to lunchtime today. I’ve since had a piece of toast and some sliced chicken…..so far so good.
I went shopping a couple of days ago and wanted to buy some sliced ham….it was atrocious and the wanted best part of £4 for the privilege of taking it off their hands. Not a chance. They had a few yellow stickered chickens reduced from £6 to £3 so I got one of those and stuck it in the slow cooker for sandwiches this week. I was very glad of it today. We will be having it with pasta and a leek and mushroom sauce tonight for tea too. If I can face the cooking in a while. I don’t even know what Dh had for his tea last night - I couldn’t face the smell of food yesterday.
I haven’t looked at breakdown cover yet. I’ll do it tomorrow with Dh - thanks for the suggestions folks.
Just out of interest does anyone know how much an iron versus a tumble drier works out. I’m sitting looking at the pile of clothes I washed and then dried outside at weekend….but they’ll need ironing. That will take at least an hour….probably 2  to do. I know the drier would be more but how much more….I hate ironing and it really aggravates my arm….just weighing up the pros and cons.

Have you thought about buying a steamer for getting the creases out of your clothes?  I have one and it's much easier than ironing. Not so much pressure on your arm.

I hope you feel better soon. It could be stress, I can’t eat when I’m stressed, my appetite disappears and I just feel sick and full up.

I gave up ironing! I did it for so many years then I just had enough 🤷🏻‍♀️. Now everything just gets folded and put away. If something needs ironing before we go out then the wearer has to iron it…it’s amazing how rare that is! An odd dress or shirt might need it, but most jeans, T-shirts, jumpers, etc. are perfectly fine if you fold them nicely straight from the line, the drier or the radiator and shove them in a drawer 😬

We don't iron much clothing. Ours gets put away either straight from the washer dryer or from the line depending on how I have dried it. Creases tend to drop out of most clothing anyway.

I was looking at steamers yesterday in Bee&M and they weren’t as expensive as I thought. Dh was with me and in true form decided we’d be better doing some research first 😂😂He does like to do a thorough job….whereas I’d just jump in a buy one. I think one was £20 and one was £25.
The nurse from the screening  place rang yesterday to say it was ok to go ahead with the next stage of the testing procedure but it had to be done at the actual main hospital,  by a certain clinician…..not one of the outreach centres. So between me being away and their availability the first date they could give me is the end of July. Earlier this week she said she wanted it done before we go away on 2 weeks. I’ll put it to the back of my mind the best I can. I’m not unduly worried as I’m not losing weight and I suspect they’ve picked something up I already know about. It would have been good to get it out of the way sooner but I’m not cancelling my holibobs to Scotland for it.
I went to the garden centre yesterday and bought some bedding plants. I debated getting them or not but it was getting me down seeing the empty tubs. A cousin messaged me to tell me about her Dh who had had a stroke…..I thought s@d it. I’m not in debt anymore, life is for living….plants give me pleasure so I’m jolly well going to get some. I had a lovely afternoon sitting potting 2 big tubs for the back garden and will do the ones for the front in a while 😁🌱😁🌸. I should have shaped myself and planted some seeds as I’d planned earlier this year.
I went to SW this morning and lost the 3 1/2 I’d put on last week. There was an advantage to feeling yucky the other day and only drinking boiled water for the day 😂👍 I’m now back to the 1/2 stone loss I was at last month.
