@milann - Sorry to hear you have been feeling stressed & poorly. My digestive system is defo affected by stress.....I understand there is a big nerve directly from the brain to the gut. It's also part of our 'fight or flight' response from back when we led scary neanderthal lives. Big bitey sabre-tooth tiger hoving into view? You can run away much faster with empty bowels & stomach, which is why we get the same collywobbles/nausea reaction to stress.
I'm in the same position as you re waiting around for tests/treatment plans atm, while worst case scenarios are (hopefully) ruled out.
It is very stressful just waiting, thinking you are going to hear something definitive, then instead hearing that there will need to be more tests/discussion. My thoughts are with you, as things are similar for me atm.
Re geraniums for summer containers. Next year, look out for plug plants. I bought a tray of 6 jumbo plugs for £3.99 which was the same price as one full size (but not very big) geranium. I potted them on at home & they grew quite quickly. I've now got 2 in hanging baskets, 2 in pots by our front door & the remaining 2 will be planted into ceramic pots on the back courtyard this weekend.

Thanks Foxgloves. I have bought the plug plants many times in the past and grown from seed. Not sure what got into me early doors this year though. It was a combination of CBA and being away a lot. That’ll teach me for next year 👍 I let the heat of the sun move around and have been out since about 2 pm replanting and organising pots. I bought a couple of tomato plants at a charity sale last week and they look a bit ropey. I’ll keep on feeding them but I’m not expecting a lot from them. I’m going to move onto working on  my front pots in a bit. I usually have sweet peas I sow from seed growing up a railing in the front garden and in tubs in the back,  this year a few have taken in the front and a few in the back, neither will make a good displays so I’m taking a chance moving the back ones to the front. I’ve bought begonias for a front garden pot, which is now in the shade of Millie Motorhome and I’ve reduced the pots in the front by over half. I’m not around enough to care for them atm.

Well done on the weight loss.

I think the weather was so rubbish earlier this year that everyone is late starting their gardens!

I’d forgotten about the horrendous weather and the cats 💩ing in my tubs……that’s why I’d lost heart with the garden. It should look ok again by the end of weekend. That said I’m out most of tomorrow with my friend. We’re off to the flicks at the little Art Deco theatre which also shows films after they’ve done the big cinemas. We’re off to see something called Alleluia …. not sure what to expect as my friend booked it. Hopefully we’ll get in the cafe too. It’s run by a couple of staff but mainly volunteers and it puts me in mind of a Victoria Wood sketch with several ladies of a certain age in black dresses and white pinnies  and sometimes a little white cap to boot 😂 it’s actually really nice in there. Occasionally there’s even a pianist. When they show a film they put a trailer on…always something that links to the film then the organist appears from below and does a rendition whilst the ushers sell ice cream. It’s really like a blast from the past.

Our garden is extremely fertile everything grows at an alarming rate. Add into the mix I’m never entirely sure what is a weed and what isn’t. I tend to let things grow and see if they produce a pretty flower before I pull them up 😬

We managed to get into the cafe and it was delicious. They only do ordinary food nothing fancy but everything is really nice and delicious home made cakes 😀 The pathe news reels were about the early NHS. They seemed very out of date in some of the terminology they used but they put a warning out stating it used language of the era. The film however was a tad depressing….not the feel good factor I’d expected from the ads for it. I love the spectacle of the news, organ and ushers at this theatre though.
My friend bought the tickets with fizz and I bought dinner and drinks. £30 spent which wasn’t bad for drinks, lunch and cake for 2 😂

We’ve been to a NT place not far away with ds. I think we spent more time sitting on benches people watching in between walking. It was lovely though lots of dappled shade. We ate at a burrito place on our way home. I had a no spice, naked one…..the burrito was naked not myself 😳 There was a lot of salad, no wrap, a little bit of rice and chicken so shouldn’t have been too calorie laden 🤞 I’m determined to get back into the lowere stone bracket than I am atm.
