Pretty certain they wouldn’t tell you anything concerning during a phone appointment Milann so difficult though it is try to put it to the back of your mind and enjoy the time away. I agree that asking people to phone the day before the appointment to confirm the appointment is entirely ludicrous too - as you say why not just say “this is when it is” as they are calling for presumably, so it’s not like they are wasting time waiting for calls in!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

We had a lovely time in Wales. The fist couple of nights we stayed on a camping site near the Lily ponds we wanted to visit. That was £12 a night. It was a basic site with no amenities but we didn’t move the Millie, everything we needed was within walking distance. Beautiful coastline, a pub, a cafe and the pond where the lilies were just beginning to open. From there we moved a few miles along the coast to a Haven site….that worked out about £17 a night. We only moved the van once from there when we visited my best friends sister…..I’ve known her since I was 5 and it was great to see her in her new home. We used the bus one day but mainly walked into the local seaside town, and we went from there on a lovely boat to an island where monks still live. We haven’t been there for well over 20 years and not a lot has changed. We didn’t actually use any of the Haven sites entertainment as we were shattered and tucked up in bed early every night. My legs were very red and swelled up and ached of an evening so we took it easy 🥂It was a lovely relaxing holiday.
We travelled home on Friday but did a scenic tour of Wales rather than the more direct route. We stopped to travel on one of the Welsh Narrow Gauge railways. It’s fairly remote and quite a drive from here for a day trip so Dh was a happy chappy. The very surreal thing was……there we were in the middle of nowhere in Wales sitting on a little train chatting to a couple with a dog on said train. We talked about where we’d come from and the chaps face lit up. He’d spent his childhood in our home town and went on to mention a relative that had a shop in a certain street and did we know it….not only did we know it but we lived in the same property after it was converted back into a house. Very surreal. The conversation went onto model trains….as it does 😂😂😂 and we ended up at their house seeing their models. We left the site at 10 am and didn’t arrive home until 10 pm…..it was part of the holiday though rather than a journey home.
We had a great day with ds in the grounds of a big country house on Saturday. We bought food for a picnic in the farm shop which we ate in the grounds then we travelled to a town a couple of miles from there and shared fish and chip by the river listening to a saxophonist busker. Twas very nice. Yesterday we were in my home town where they had a fly by a Lancaster bomber and some crazy cart races and ds brought tea around for later - so another lovely day.
Today I’ve been shopping at Asd@ and plan on doing as little as possible for the rest of the day.👍 I’ve just redeemed my Mr T vouchers into restaurant vouchers before the deadline where teh value changes in a couple of weeks. Dh and ds have done the same. Between the 3 of us we have enough for most of the cost of 4 meals for the 3 of us 👍January spends - £587.585 -

I’ve just finished on the telephone with the nurse from the bowel screening place…45 minutes. I think I totally stumped the poor nurse. She is going to contact the hospital to see what next step to take will be as she isn’t sure if I have enough bowel left to examine. In between times she has asked me to send her copies of any hospital documents I have.I didn’t sleep brilliantly last night. In a moment of madness yesterday, I decided to jet wash the area where my chairs go outside. It’s not a big area and it’s only a matter of pointing the stick at the ground so nothing strenuous but I couldn’t get comfortable last night at all. I’m not sure if this appointment was in my mind and my arm was sore. The area where the chairs go looks much better now. I need some nice pots to go around them. I lost all my geraniums over winter so I feel a trip to the garden centre coming on….I really shouldn’t, but I’ve left it too late to sow anything…..and if I don’t shape myself it’ll be to late to buy any.
I came down at 1 pm and made a cuppa and did something I’ve been going to do for a while. I checked all my finances. Last month included my car insurance and roadside cover…the money was there...plus a trip to my favourite seaside clothes shop. I need to get my balances back to where they were but it’s all very doable 👍 At least I didn’t put anything on my cc that I haven’t been able to pay off IN FULL 👍😁
Right I need to dig out some paperwork for this nurse and figure out how to send it to her. I wish I were more tech savvy 😏January spends - £587.583 -
It sounds like you had a lovely break.1

I cancelled my roadside cover today as they’d put an excess charge on for vehicles over 10 years old. The cover is for the people not the vehicle. I intended sorting it before we went away. Both our cars are now 10. I hadn’t actually confirmed I wanted it - it went through automatically. I don’t remember saying I’d auto renew nor do I remember being asked about it. I had to pay a cancellation fee which I’m miffed about but it’s better than paying excess should we ever need them. It’s my own fault I should’ve sorted it before we went.
I feel absolutely awful. Really sickly- I think it’s probably lack of sleep and feeling stressed about sending documents to the nurse this morning and wondering what comes next. It is what it is 😏 early night for me tonight.January spends - £587.583 -
