I had every intention of blitzing the house today. It didn’t happen. It’s had a half hearted hoover, mop and polish around downstairs. The rest can wait until tomorrow.
I have a phone consultation with the ankle doctor tomorrow. It has improved since I had the steroid injection but is far from right.

I had a lovely lazy(ish) day yesterday. I did some ironing and then chilled watching a bit of catch up Corrie…..I’m still about 3 weeks behind. I do wonder why I still watch it but I suppose it’s habit. I used to watch it with my mum and I’ve always continued. I did a bit of crochet too.
We visited sil last night. She still hasn’t made any attempts to do anything to help herself but spends her life continually calling her close family. I actually feel very sorry for them, I really don’t know what else we can do to help her. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I suspect she’s calling us too for going in Millie.
I am going shopping today for a new pair of trainers and maybe some new trousers and tops. I don’t think I have enough clothes for a 2 week holiday. We go next Thursday to Scotland. I’m both looking forward and dreading it in equal measures I think. Mozzies and single track roads v beautiful scenery and chance to see new places.
I have been fairly good money wise this last week….that is about to be shattered today😳

The roads in Scotland were not that bad. We much preferred them to the roads in Devon and Cornwall!

We were lucky and didn't get any mozzies. The other half got stung by a bee though which he reacted very badly too!!

Enjoy your trip. It is a stunning place and very motorhome friendly. We are looking forward to heading back up there next year.

    Thanks RS…..that’s reassuring 👍
Ive just arrived home from my shopping exhibition. I tried numerous tops on but nothing was quite right and I wasn’t prepared to pay £25+ for an ok top. I’ll rinse something through if I run out whilst away…..or nip around the supermarkets before then. I do have several that I could wear but they’re too tight 😏 so much for my good intentions. I still managed to part with well over £150 ish.
I bought some suncream and keep the bugs away spray along with some cold sore cream and a couple of other bits and that was best part of £50 😳 I’m on my 3 rd horrible cold sore in less than a month….and I haven’t had a cold. I also bought some underwear another £85. I had a voucher for a free cake at JL so off I toddles to the cafe for a cake and cuppa…..it would have been rude to pass a free cake even though I’m trying to stay on plan. Anyway the planets or the universe of something must have been aligned as the cafe was closed. I took that as a sign to eat healthier. I went to M& S cafe and it was rubbish and expensive so decided to look around the food court where they have some lovely restaurants. I found a Greek one doing a dinner time deal for £9.50…..but they didn’t tell you there was a £1.50 surcharge….not sure if that’s because I was a single diner or if they got everyone. Anyway the food was so nice I didn’t want to spoil the moment by complaining and I’d have given a tip because I enjoyed it.
I saw the trainers I wanted and asked for my size….true to form they didn’t have them. I tried 1/2 size up and 1 fitted perfectly but the other slid off. I wasn’t paying £90 for them. They had a different colour I liked but decided to think about it first. I looked on line to find they had a very similar colour I n the style I wanted. You can take the insoles out and add your own podiatry ones. They were £30ish cheaper. The website said they had a shop in the mall so i traipsed everywhere but couldn’t find it. Eventually I asked at the info desk and they haven’t got one at all.
The journey home was AWFUL….I hate driving to the shopping mall and usually go on the tram but I’d envisioned bags of shopping. There are motorways and fast duel carriages all around said mall. I have a route I take which goes down back roads that  I don’t mind driving….all was well on the way there until I was virtually at the mall and realised a road was closed in the reverse direction. On the alternative route I had to join one of the duel carraigeways in the fast lane. I hate that junction. Anyway after I’d got past there I came home the scenic route and passed my old childhood home. I’ll be on the tram next time 😂I’m just recovering with a cuppa….maybe I should have made it something stronger ☺️
So all in all I spent a load and only came back with half the things I went for 😏

When we are out in the van for a couple of weeks we usually find somewhere to do the laundry half way through. Usually in the form of laundry facilities on a site. We time it when the van tanks need dealing with anyway.

RS we used to always do a wash part way through when we were in the caravan. So will do that again as you do RS.
I’ve just been looking for a Pavers shop as they appear to have the trainers I wanted. Had I stuck to my original plan of going on the tram and visited the big mall and an outlet village a couple of tram stops away…..id have found my Pavers shop. 😂😂😂 I’ll stick to the tram next time 😏 Not sure if I’ll have chance to get there before Thursday. I don’t want to order on line as I want to try them on.

The shopping trip sounds stressful. I used to love going shopping for clothes but don’t enjoy it now. And then they wonder why people shop online…
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
