We ventured out to get the trainers at weekend that  I’ve been after and although they didn’t have the ones I wanted I did get a dusky pink pair. £30 cheaper than the sketcher shop. Probably last years colours but I can live with that. Still not cheap at best part of £70 😳 I was most put out as the bras I’d bought at M&S were in the outlet shop at £5 cheaper…I bought another couple. Ds decided he had no shorts. I was sure he had…..sooooo….3 pairs in the outlet shop which were exactly the same as the ones I was convinced he had but he didn’t think he had…..they were cheaper than I’d paid last year 👍 Anyway we got home and found the ones he didn’t have from last year sitting in his drawer. At least he has lots of shorts for the lovely weather we are expecting.
I thought my hair would have lasted until I got home from Scotland  but you should have seen the state of it whilst we were out. It was so hot I was absolutely dripping and felt awful and scruffy. So I got the hairdresser to come across this morning. It looked lovely after she’d cut it and all I’ve done I’d potter about the house. I look like I’ve been in the shower. You’d never think I’d just had it done.
I’ve just had to ring and make an appointment for blood tests at the hospital. I rang the number and it was a lovely doctor, but nothing at all to do with blood tests. Apparently I’m the 5 th caller this morning and there have been a batch of letters with the wrong number. She gave me the correct number….only it wasn’t …..it just went dead. What a performance. I did get through to the right department in the end and have a blood test to look forward to when we get back. I’ve got a gaggle of appointments all at once in July.
Im attempting to pack the van but getting nowhere fast. Time to get on with it.
I had a letter from somebody claiming to be linked to the NHS for a country wide screening. Is it a scam or genuine - does anybody know?

I think you just need to keep plodding with SW. If it keeps you mindful that’s a bonus. There used to be two women in my WW group who went every week and barely lost anything. They did say that they would be a lot bigger if they didn’t have the group focus though.

I’m glad you were right about the shorts, I like to win 🤣
it’s horrible about all the July appointments.
Will you keep an eye on food consumption on your holidays, or just have a nice time and worry when you get back?

WW I’ll be aware of my food choices some of the time but am certainly going to have some treats….especially if I meet up with a few friends I have scattered around Scotland. I have a friend in Skye and one in Dundee who I’ll meet if they’re available and depending on how our plans pan out - I haven’t actually arranged anything and am meeting with a friend near a lovely loch and I dare say cake could be involved whilst Dh cycles around said loch 😉 We take our Georgie Foreman and have lots of griddled meat and veg in Millie…we do tend to eat out a fair bit too.

SA that’s my thinking. SW membership will keep me focussed and when I get back from Scotland I will refocus. If I can get back without putting on too much weight I’ll be a happy Milann.

Today I need to pick up a prescription for Dh, I want to clean and tidy everywhere….including giving the suite a clean and feed. I also want to empty and clean the innards of the Hoover and soap drawer from the washer etc. I have neglected these little jobs for quite some time. They used to be my big school holiday jobs.
Tomorrow I’m at my craft group in the morning and out in the evening. So the only job left to do is change the bedding so that it’s nice to come home to…..oh and put the final bits in the van. It’s virtually all packed and ready to go 👍😃

I'm getting excited for your holidays and I'm not even going anywhere 😄 My sister and I would like a week driving around Scotland - our mum and our gran were born in Glasgow but our family origins (some of them) are on Iona. I'm looking forward to hearing about your travels.
