Oh the ankle looks sore. Glad you had a nice time anyway. Also glad you’ve not given up on the weight loss, real life often gets in the way, it can’t be helped. Onwards and upwards.

Can you still have treats in your diet? I have such a sweet tooth and have some junk food factored in each day. Today I had a smaller meal so I could finish the day with a couple of biscuits with my coffee.
Could the blotches be an allergy to anything?

I actually think the red blotches are bleeds under the skin as the first doc said. Part of the condition I have affects every part of my body that contains collagen. It tends to happen if I’m on my feet a lot or I overheat. Carrying an extra stone or so does doesn’t help the pressure on my skinny ankles 😉. I have always bruised a lot and one professor I spoke to whilst in hospital was very interested in the condition reckons the spontaneous spinal bleed and 2 perforated intestines I had are all linked to the collagen problem. So since the array of blood tests didn’t show anything serious, it seems logical that is what it is. I will go back to the gp though if it continues to happen. The main reason I haven’t been back is that she wants me on statins as my blood pressure and cholesterol are verging on high - again this could be contributing to the blotches.  I don’t want to go on statins…..all the more reason to loose this blooming weight. It’s more waring and tiring and sore to touch than painful when it happens. It’s just left a slight mark today. I’m trying my sandals today to see if I can wear them rather than my boots. My lax ankle just keeps going over even with podiatry inserts in anything other than ankle boots😡 it’s like being between a rock and a hard place….walk pain free (ish) and upright and get red blotches in boots  or chance my ankle going over but have cooler feet with fewer blotches. Sorry that turned into a bit of a rant 😂
I always have some sort of food treat WW. I don’t believe in deprivation 😂😂😂 I have to admit I’m not following SW to the letter….I got fed up of recording  syns. I’ve been quite interested in the talk around ultra processed food and am combining a few ideas which seem to work for me when I’m at home and when I actually stick to it. I need to get my head around eating when we’re away.  I’m not eating after 7pm ish and have put my breakfast back to around 10 am ish most of the time, which is what I’ve mainly done naturally since I finished work. I’m aiming for at least 80% of my food having not more than 4 ingredients in if it is processed, rather than the very ultra processed foods….I couldn’t go totally unprocessed and do usually cook from scratch. I am sticking to roughly 15 SlimmingWorld syns a day but I’m not religiously writing everything down as I once did. My current favourite treat is fully processed and 2 1/2 syns - I love M&S mini snowballs which come in a tub. I can usually limit myself to 1 or 2 but last week I sat and ate nearly a full tub when I was out of sorts with the world. I really am an emotional and boredom eater.
    Today food
Breakfast - wholemeal toast (healthy b) avocado (7syns) poached egg
Dinner - left over pasta mixed with tuna, yoghurt, and salad
Tea - left over chicken dish from last night with rice
Snacks - milk (healthy a) 30g cheese (healthy a) apple, satsuma, banana 2 snowballs or biscuit 5 syns
The days food is all SW free food with the recommended Healthy A and B choices plus 12 syns. My head is in the right place today so all should be ok.
Right time for those of you to wake up after falling asleep at my ramblings.
I am going to pay my cc in full today and search out a breakdown recovery policy. My old one runs out at the end of the month but since both cars are now 10 years old they want to charge £25 excess on every call out. Need to see if I can better this. I can’t fault the service from my last provider though. I think we’re looking at getting a hybrid car when (if) Dh finishes work and just have the 1 car between us. Not sure if they do small ones though as I don’t like big cars. Lots to investigate there 😁😂😏👍

Mmmmmm…….just had a letter to attend a big hospital in town nearby after returning a bowel cancer screening sample last week. Keeping my calm head on and assuming it’s showing a problem I already know about. I had a colonoscopy and scan last year which were clear so I’m not unduly worried……I’m not….I’m not….I’m not 🤞🤞🤞
At least I’m away next week to keep my mind off it.

Just re read the letter and on the 2 nd sheet of paper it says ignore  the hospital appointment but it’ll be the same date and time but a phone consultation which doesn’t seem as scary somehow, this will be followed up by more investigations if necessary. I have to phone and confirm the appointment 24 hours beforehand to confirm. Why can’t you just confirm now so I don’t forget 🤷🏻‍♀️

That doesn’t sound as scary. One of my friends is always being called back as she has polyps. She’s had a fair few colonoscopies always turn out clear fortunately. Fingers crossed it’s nothing to worry about 🤞

A phone appointment sounds much safer. I’m sure If they were worried they’d not mess with a phone appointment.

Thanks everyone. It just took me by surprise as I didn’t post it until last Thursday evening before we went away on Friday so that’s a 5 day turn around including weekend. I’ve got my head into gear now….I’m definitely not loosing any weight so the probability  is that it’s something linked to problems I already know about. I’ve had many cameras every which way but never had one into a stoma which could be interesting, if it comes to it. Last year I had one in the bit of remaining stump but they couldn’t proceed so did scans instead and all was clear. This’ll be the 6th or even 7th time in about 10 years I’ve been told things COULD be cancer…..every time I’ve been anxious and it’s turned out to be something different. They’re right to veer on the edge of caution though. There’s more likely hood it’s something and nothing.
Right I’m packing the van and we’re off to South Wales tomorrow morning 👍
