Sorry to hear about your friend milann - as others have said, it's sad even if it is for the best in the circumstances. I'm glad the funeral falls when you will easily be able to get to it too.

We got home last night. We had a bit of a mixed bag weather wise. Some ok days but a couple of very wet days. It was very windy most of the time though.
We did, however, have a lovely time - we visited some of my favourite places and I had a few too many cream teas and pasties, but they were delicious. Dh dropped me at my favourite town whilst he went on a bike ride along the trail there. It had a Seasalt shop…..I’d would have been rude not to buy the gorgeous turquoise top and cardigan…..even though they did cost a bomb. I spent a long time on the phone reminiscing with my friend about the times we all spent in this town whilst sitting watching the boats bobbing on the sea. Think it did us both good. The downside was a blooming big stone hit Millie’s windscreen and we’ve got a massive chip. We’ve tried getting onto the insurance people but there’s a long waiting time on the phone line probably due to the bank holiday weekend. We’ll keep trying. The My Fair Lady theatre money and booking fee are being credited. I’m happy to rebook something with them as we do go fairly often to that theatre and it’ll feel like a free outing 😁 need to get together with my friend to decide what we’ll see. I was hopeful about the it by the way the conductor said people could leave if they didn’t want to see the revised entertainment they were providing. Bet it’s cost somebody a fortune as it was a full house.
I need to do some serious number crunching my visit to the lovely clothes shop……and whispers quietly…….a craft shop 😉 will have made a hole in this months cash flow. It’ll be fine if I reign in a bit. I don’t need much food wise.
On our way home yesterday we had a beautiful drive. We drove along a lot of the coast road of Cornwall and Devon (we did deviate if the roads looked too narrow for Millie) There are some beautiful places. We jumped on the motorway somewhere in Somerset for the main part of the journey. We did stop several times including a meal but we’re on the road over 10 hours. It was worth it though rather than door to door motorway.January spends - £587.582 -

I wasn’t going to get them Beanie. I went in on my own whilst Dh was cycling- thought they were nice but I wasn’t going to buy. Then I had some dinner and spoke to my friend who lost her husband a week or so ago. We used to visit this seaside town together and she loves the shop too. I decided life is too short and went back to the shop….walked out deciding I really didn’t want to spend that much and would wait for the sale. Dh finished his ride and I was telling him so we went back again and tried them on and decided my friend was right…..live is too short. Dh agreed. I have had an odd twinge of guilt but I’ll get over it….
