My friends funeral is booked for when we’re back - phew….the Tuesday after the first May bank holiday. We’d have come home for it anyway. I’ve got the urge to go for a long walk to get my thoughts together but need to stay in for the delivery. Right off to sort these trousers off instead 👍January spends - £587.580

Thinking of you @milann. It’s not easy but you have lots of memories of your friend as he was.Hope the element arrives & the trousers are a success xx1

The parcels came. Luckily some medical supplies arrived today too although I only got the tracking message 10 minutes before they arrived. I was a tad worried as I’d cut it very fine for the supplies to last whilst we’re away, I’d meant to order them before Easter but forgot.
I have nearly finished the trousers. I wasn’t quite sure of the best way to tackle them with the sewing machine so have hand stitched them. The test will be when I try them on 😂😂 hopefully they’ll stay up 😂😂
I started off for a walk to my favourite place, after the deliveries had arrived and decided a big cardigan would suffice rather than a coat as it looked lovely and sunny……silly me 😏……it was freezing with gusty wind 😳 I got as far as M@rrisons and B&M where I dodged into the shops. I went in the cafe….WHY……I’d had dinner but I had a cream tea for 1 (£2.99) 2 triangles of sandwiches and a scone with a little pot of clotted cream and jar of jam. I didn’t even enjoy it particularly then I went and bought some new scales. Not all singing and dancing but they track your weight, and tell your BMI. I didn’t think they were bad for £15. I think I paid more than that for my old ones many moons ago and all they told you was your weight. It has confirmed to me what an emotional spender and eater I am though…..I suppose it could have been worse as I resisted bags of compost and plants in B& M and I have wanted new scales for a while now. We’d planned to visit ds later as we didn’t see him at weekend and won’t next weekend but he is coming here instead. Shepherds pies are out defrosting for an easy tea…I made them a couple of weeks ago.
Tomorrow will be a tidy up and pack the van ready for the off on Thursday.

Ds came round last night. We had quite a nice evening remembering our friend. Lots of smiles at some of the fun times we all had together.I didn’t quite finish the trousers but it won’t take long….famous last words.Right a busy day planned here - general tidy up everywhere….nowhere is too bad, just a final hoover, wipe down and bedding change. Then pack the van ready for tomorrow.January spends - £587.581

The trousers feel comfortable and haven’t fallen down yet 👍😂 I’ll see how thy feel by the end of the day before I commit to doing the other 2 pairs. If they are ok I might just feel the urge for linen trouser shopping creeping up on me 😃January spends - £587.582

Holiday eve - how exciting 😎
Well done on the trousers.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1 -
Everything is ready and just needs putting in the van which is also ready.I had a long chat with dd and she is going to try and come to the funeral. Not sure if it’s possible though….the logistics of living over 5 hours away with children at school and full time jobs 😏
I had to nip to the chemist as I’d remembered I should have picked up my prescription yesterday. It wasn’t ready BUT they had something for me I’d already had. I took it as there is a shortage of this particular item atm. Not sure what was going on. Anyway the new chemist is lovely and gave me an advance of the missing item. Hopefully they’ll sort it by next month.January spends - £587.582
