Yes Sg2  - we’re off to dds tomorrow until Monday. Not in the van, we’re going with ds.
The shepherds pie was indeed delicious, I think I enjoyed it more as we haven’t had it for ages.
We ended up taking my SIL out for dinner yesterday. I had a lovely carvery- I mainly had meat and veg with 1 potato.
I went to SW this morning and as I expected I had put another 1/2lb on. I’m not surprised as I’ve eaten out 3 times. I have done a fair bit of walking and would probably been ok had I not bought hot x buns. They are my absolute downfall with butter on 😱I have virtually stopped snacking between meals now though. At least hot buns will be off the menu in a couple of days. I did chuckle though as I won the raffle. I’m not sure what the thinking behind the prize was…..it’s usually something foodie to make a meal that fits with the SW plan….I won a loaf of bread, a packet of cereal and a swede 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ Think she just grabbed what was left on the supermarket shelf. 😂😂😂 I’d have paid more than £1 in the shop though so I’m not knocking it.
I’m looking forward to seeing dd and her family tomorrow. We’ll have a walk by the sea - I suspect it’ll be heaving though if the nice weather stays. We’re leaving at 6 in the morning and hopefully should be with them for lunchtime if there’s not too much traffic. We quite often hit traffic near her hometown that is heading to the ferries. The lorries can be stacked  in queues along the motorway.
Have a lovely Easter everyone 🐣🍫🌼🐰🥂

Half a pound isn’t too bad, it should drop off next week. At least you won’t be tempted to pig out on your prize with a swede and cereal sandwich 🤭

I can’t believe how quiet the traffic was on our trip to dds.  We did it in 6 1/2 hours there - which included about 40 minutes break for breakfast and 5 hours on the way back with a 10 minute loo and change of driver break. Not sure what happened to the beautiful weather we’d been promised. Saturday was ok but not as warm as at home on Friday then Sunday we went a little further along the coast, about 10 miles - the seafront was beautifully sunny near dds home but there was a thick sea fog down over the food festival and it was freezing 🥶 then it rained buckets on Sunday. We did however have a lovely time despite the weather not living up to expectations. We played lots of games and went for a couple of walks, along with Easter egg hunts and lots of time with gks and of course guinea pig cuddles. Youngest gk will be devastated when they are returned to school.
I visited my brother today…he didn’t look well but he’s like the proverbial creaking gate….has had some pretty serious illnesses but keeps plodding on.
I’m not moving out tomorrow - I’m staying at home chilling. Not that I did much whilst at dds - I was very spoilt.

I’ve had an email from the theatre saying they are in discussions with the producers of the My Fair Lady show and will keep me posted. It seems nobody wants to take responsibility for it. The theatre originally said contact the ticket suppliers, who referred me back to the venue now the venue are saying it’s the producers of the show….they just hire the theatre to them 🤷🏻‍♀️ I won’t hold my breath 😏

I find the theatre shenanigans bizarre.  We had an issue when the safety curtain got stuck at the interval, the theatre rang everyone offering other tickets which we couldn't accept then a refund.  It was the Monty python show and the audience left all singing Eric Idle's  The Bright side of life.
