I’ve had a reply from the ticket provider saying they’ve passed my refund request to the theatre…….watch this space.
We had a lovely day yesterday. First we went to a big outlet village en route for a mooch around. We haven’t been there for a long time and they’ve extended it quite a bit….it was heaving and we didn’t go into many shops but we enjoyed what we did, We headed to the mouth of my little river for a walk, we stopped for a drink and walked back to restaurant. It was The Ravenous Horse chain which is noted to have big portions and lots of chips. However my halo is shining as I had a salmon salad and pinched a couple of chips from Dh and ds so I didn’t feel deprived. Ds paid for the drinks which weren’t included in the price - so £12 for the 3 of us wasn’t bad. Thankyou Mr T……although in future it’ll only be twice the value redeemed - a few years ago it was 4 times the value of the voucher. Still better than nothing, I suppose.
This morning I walked along my stretch of the same river - we visited yesterday with my friend and her 2 crazy dogs 😂😂😂😂- it was lovely. She didn’t come in as the dogs were so muddy by the time we got home.
My hairdressing friend is coming to chop my hair at 2.30. I’ve put the tv on for a chill and cuppa after my walk and it’s just saying retrieving data….can’t get anything on at all. I hate technology. It’s not worth hoovering until after I’ve had my hair cut so I’ll chill with a book instead. Then have a tidy up after she’s finished my hair.

Happy new hair.

Friend sent me a photo last night of 2 crashed out pooches….after exploring all the smells along the riverbank…..wish I could have bottled their energy. They must have run 4 times the distance I walked. I’m meeting a different friend today for a coffee at her house…..somebody I worked with a few jobs back. We always pick up where we left off. So a relaxing day after my walks.
Tea will be something with pork steak…..and I’ll make some for the freezer too. Dh didn’t separate the steaks before they went into the freezer. Might do Somerset pork when I get home, depending whether we have cider or not.Enjoy the sunshine ☀️January spends - £587.582 -
What a palaver with the theatre thing milann - I hope you get the refund as while it sounds like the cast and production crew did a marvellous job of upholding "the show must go on" it definitely wasn't the show you'd paid to see, was it!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

The theatres are normally good at refunding in these sorts of situations. Hopefully you get to see it again properly.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉0

That’s what I said in my request for a refund EH. Cast and orchestra did a sterling job in the spirit of the show must go on but it wasn’t the show with dancing and scenery that we paid for. I still haven’t heard anything other than my request had been sent to the venue.
I enjoyed my visit and chat with my friend yesterday, another friend turned up too so a lovely time had by all.I’ve had a tidy up today and had the meat for a shepherds pie in the slow cooker. I just need to do the mash and I’ve got a pie for tea and 2 for the freezer 😁 I like my shepherds pie with minced lamb as it should have, but I haven’t seen any for ages but I found some yesterday when I popped in Sainsbobs for a leg of lamb whilst it’s on offer. I bought a top too as I had 500 extra points if I bought tub clothing, these supermarkets sure know how to reel us in 😂😂 the shoulders fit lovely but it’s rather snug around the midriff…..I’m currently undecided whether to take it back or slim into it.
I’ve chatted to my friend again today, who’s hubby was given 48 hours weeks ago, he is still hanging in there. He’s certainly a fighter. I haven’t been able to settle after speaking to her. It’s so sad…..you wouldn’t let a dog linger like this.
Right on a cheerier note I’m going to make some mash with my 30p potatoes I bought yesterday. M@rris@ns had loads of fruit and veg reduced last night when I popped in for a bag of green beans I’d forgotten for my Somerset pork which was delicious and there’s a portion in the freezer too 😁January spends - £587.582 -
I like the Tu range at Mr S. When my office was closer to a very large store I was a devil for picking clothes up when they had the 25% off deal.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Shepherds pie was delicious.
Totally blew the eating regime yesterday…..I thought what the heck……didn’t do my friend in the home any good. I’m so mad at myself now as me blowing my good intentions won’t make him any better.Dh is limping about like an old man…..but then I remembered he is an old man 70 in a few months time 😂😂😂😂He’s been up and down ladders at work and it has aggravated his knee. I wish he’d finish work now - he usually still enjoys it. It’s his decision, I’ve suggested he finishes many times but he has to decide for himself. I still can’t believe he’ll be hitting the 7……s. Doesn’t time fly by when your having fun 👍😁
Im going to attempt some ironing. I haven’t done any for ages as my arm really played up but several tops really do need to meet an iron. Does anyone use those steam thingies and are they any good in comparison to an ironed top?January spends - £587.581 -
Interesting on the fit of the Tu top Milann - last ones I bought from there were a very strange fit for me on the shoulders, although the rest of them fitted nicely. I've got the 500 points voucher too - but probably won't use it this time I don't think. I am planning on popping in to see if they have any British lamb legs in the half price offer though - the website says they should, but I think the British ones often get taken first as there's usually only NZ ones left by the time I look.
It's fantastic that your DH still enjoys his work most of the time - it sounds as though they need to be a bit more thoughtful about the work he's given though perhaps?
It's incredibly sad about your friend too - and you don't even want to get me started on us treating animals more kindly than humans in that regard.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
