    Glad you enjoyed your trip.

Don't feel guilty for buying clothes occasionally. We all need them.

We are looking forward to a visit to the Quba shop when we are in Suffolk in July 😀

It was a shock when the stone hit the windscreen…..it made a right racket. The chip is nearly  as big as dhs driving license - he took a photo of it with it next to it for scale. He took it considerably well considering Millie is still his new baby 😂😂 We still haven’t got through to the insurance people. It’s probably because of the bank holiday. We’re hoping they can repair it with silicone or whatever it is they use. It’s pretty big though. 😳 It’ll need sorting though so it doesn’t crack more.

Just caught up with your diary Milann and I'm so sorry to hear about your friend ❤️
I am also glad you had a nice break away even if the weather was not too good. It's been really cold here in my corner of Devon but yesterday was warm enough to just wear a T-shirt at times 😊 it's not as nice today though

If its as big as that they will have to replace the whole screen.

They can only repair chips up to the size of a £1 coin.

We actually got through to the insurance folk today and it’s booked in for Thursday morning. We suspect it might need a new complete windscreen RS…..why couldn’t it have been one of our old cars…..s@Ds law in action again. Luckily the autogl@ss place is around the corner from Dh work…..again that law kicked in as he’s usually off from Thursday onwards but somebody has left so he’s helping out the weeks we’re not away and working full time for the time being. If it’s a repair there will be no cost but if it’s a new screen will be £100 and of course it’ll affect the no claims. Could have been a lot worse….we saw a nasty crash on the motorway with several ambulances and fire crew….puts things in perspective
We headed out for a local walk yesterday with the intention of finishing at a Ziizzy Italian restaurant courtesy of Mr T vouchers but the rain came down so we ended up in the big shopping mall nearby. It was busy and we didn’t really want anything so went to C@stc@ which is across the road from mall. I stocked up on tomatoes, tuna, choccy spread, and some other goodies. I split most packs with ds. I did buy a new air fryer. I like the one I have but it’s not really big enough and they had a Gourmia one (the one they use in store to heat the free samples) for £44 which is cheaper than we paid for our little T@wer one which has now got a permanent home in Millie. We ended up eating there £13.99 for a massive pizza and garlic bread and soft drinks…..enough for 3 of us to eat off yesterday with leftovers for today. So a spendy day I hadn’t planned again. Not sure what’s got into me atm.   I also want some new compost for my tubs as the cats have decimated my old pots. I haven’t actually replaced it for years so I suppose it’s needed.
The sun is actually out atm so I’m going outside to do some pottering style gardening

Windscreen replacements usually have to be declared but don't actually affect NCB in my experience Milann - fingers crossed you'll find the same. MrEH's previous car was a demon for attracting stones - and we had a screen replacement to declare there, and I of course have one on my current car following the "idiot with a brick" incident a while ago.  Most annoying one I ever had though was in my previous car - the weekend after picking it up (brand new) I was on the motorway and a stone got flicked up by a vehicle in front, bounced off the bonnet, only the screen and then bounced off the roof too for good measure - 2 small dents/paint chips and a chipped screen in the space of about 3 seconds on a car which wasn't even a week old! You can imagine I was not impressed!

That sounds like a good deal on the air fryer and it will be handy to have one in Millie too won't it!

Glad your time away was good aside from the annoying stone!

Glass claims don't affect your NCB but they do affect your next premium as it is classed as a claim on the policy.

We claimed for a screen on my last car and with the increased premiums over the next few years we would have been better off paying for it ourselves rather then claiming!!

Thanks for the screen info. Annoying but it's better than paying for a new screen which would be upwards of £800 😳
My halo is shining as I was up and busy first thing. I had omelette for breakfast, listened to a hypno tape, hoovered, washed up and went straight to the gym and even had a little swim. I didn't do too much and am planning on going again tomorrow. It's crazy that I have membership and don't make the most of it, I really enjoy it when I make the effort….sometimes it's the thought of it when I feel tired so I sit procrastinating instead and get not a lot of anything done. I'm just going to have a late lunch and spend an hour pottering in the garden.
Tea will be an all day breakfast. Dh got rather carried away with the amount of black pudding eh bought at c@stc@ at weekend 😂😂😂 I had trouble getting eggs yesterday and ended up going in 2 supermarkets and then I could only get a box of 6. I tried again today and they still haven't had a delivery in Ald!
I need to pay my car insurance before weekend - we contemplated getting rid of it as I don't use it a lot but have decided to keep it until Dh finishes work.
Ive got my ds on the case trying to get us tickets for a show in London for Dh 70th later this year. Not sure if it'll happen as there are 7 of us with one needing a wheelchair space. They only seem to have spaces for a wheelchair and companion. There's no way I'm prepared to split the group up and have us sitting separately. I'll think of something else we can do together.

We had a very strange phone call from a family member last night. I'm not sure if there's memory problems or reactions to medication, but something wasn't right. The upshot is I'm meeting said relative at the big mall near me on Friday….that's provided they've marked the right day and month as there were clearly problems marking it on the calendar. A bit worrying…..watch this space 😳
I'm doing a couple of hours pottering in the garden and then going for another swim to get some value from my membership.
I'm going to post my food on here (sorry!) don't need to read this….it's just trying to be accountable to myself

Breakfast - wholemeal toast with chocolate spread and banana and satsuma - 4 syns

Dinner - ham, 30g cheese, celery, pepper, lettuce, beetroot, tomato and I might make a bit of hummus 0 syns

Tea - salmon, new potatoes, broccoli, green beans, peas and hollandaise sauce 2 syns. yoghurt and fruit 1/2 syn

I'm hoping to undo some damage limitation before I go to SW on Friday. Mmmm just realised I've double booked 😏 I've arranged to meet relative at the time I should be at SW. I'll have to shape myself and go to the 8 am session instead of 9.30.
I might nip to town after my swim as I've cut the frill from a dress I'd bought last year - it wasn't me and I felt enormous with the added width of the frill (nothing to do with the added inches around my waist 😵‍💫😂😂) but I quite like the top part of the dress. As I expected it's too short without the frill so I want some type of braid to add to the bottom and then I'll put a false hem from the frill below the braid….makes sense to me anyway. It's better than leaving the dress sitting in the wardrobe. I'm still having problems deciding what suits me and what styles I can wear since the last surgery and have bought some things I would never have touched to beforehand and they don't feel like me. I'd love a personal shopper and advice what to wear but that is definitely not affordable- especially after my recent purchases in my favourite seaside clothes shop. I'm trying to make the most of what I have purchased rather than wasting them.

I had a swim yesterday but won't be going today. I didn't do much just a few lengths and the day before a very gentle'getting started' 30 minute gym programme. I'm so tired today. I'll continue pottering in the garden. I have a little stool to sit on with a cushion on and it's just the right height for the raised beds we have. I have my minuscule hedge cutter and want to tickle the box hedge (it's only about 6 inches high) I'm so cheesed off as I'm full of ideas of things I want to do…..what's that saying about the mind being willing but the body has different ideas.
I was rather pleased with pots I planted seeds into yesterday. I hope I've made a cat proof string web to deter them using the pots in which I have planted lettuce, spinach, oak choi and radish 😀 Beanie and other cat lovers out there close your ears……I might have to invest in a water pistol if 🙀 decide to 💩 in them. I've sprinkled curry powder around the bases. Disclaimer…..I wouldn't do anything to hurt said cats just want to deter them.
