Had a bit of a boring weekend here. On Friday we walked into town to see the progression with some building work happening there. My hip suddenly went rubbish. I hobbled to a pub 😉 we ended up eating there. I don’t know how I walked back. We should have got a taxi but I thought I’d be ok after a rest. It’s only 4 weeks since I had the steroid injection so whether it was the very cold weather or the injection has worn off, I’m not sure.
We did go to Costc@ on Saturday but didn’t look around- just went to what we needed and I put my weight on the trolley. I spent £100 but it’ll last me a good while 😁 We didn’t move out yesterday or today as my tummy isn’t particularly good either. I tried to get an phone appointment with the gp but they had none left and said if I needed to, ring it of hours emergency. I’ll try again tomorrow as it isn’t an emergency. My hip is ok when I’m sitting- just after I’ve been on it about 10 minutes. I’m hoping it was just the very cold weather.
That’s my boring post…..hope everyone is ok.

I’ve just caught up. How interesting to read about the hypnotherapy. Was it just for eating or did it cover other things? I tried the ‘I can make you thin’ book and cd ages ago and it did nothing for me, despite being recommended by a friend who swore by the hypnosis from the cd. I couldn’t relax or zone out at all.
Sorry your hip is hurting again 😕 Congratulations on the loss.

WW it was mostly everything else with gentle suggestions about eating. I paid for 4 sessions and the 1 st session was just talking about me…..who knew I could witter on for an hour about my life but it flew by. She gave me deep relaxation tapes and recording the sessions I’d had with her - I’ve been listening to them most days. I’ve definitely changed my snacking habits. I hadn’t expected it to cover everything as I’d only asked for weightloss. She said you have to retrain your brain with associations about food. I think I’ve been lucky as this person does a lot of work for the local cancer support centre and the nhs….like everything else there are con people out there. I am fairly open minded so I suppose I believed it might work for me…..it’s not going to be a fast fix but I want something that will last me forever. Thankfully it’s nothing like the hypnotherapy shows of past years where they have you running around like a chicken or barking like a dog. If nothing else comes from it I’ve learnt how to relax.
I phoned the gp surgery this morning, they have a triage service so I explained everything to the receptionist and she phoned back within 5 minutes. I’ve got a face to face appointment in an hour with a doctor. It’s a doctor I’ve spoken to a lot in the past but never actually met and she’s been at the surgery for years.

Good luck with your GP appointment. Hopefully it is just the cold weather not helping.

My hip was a lot better so I think the cold weather on Friday was the culprit. It’s still a bit sore but that’s usual. I didn’t mention it to the doc as I know he’d only suggest painkillers which I take already….the consultant has told me to ring him if I need to but I don’t want to as I know what the answer will be…..he’ll get me on the list for a replacement - he reminds me every time it needs a replacement.  The main reason I went to the doc was the flair up in my tummy region….he agreed with me and I have 2 weeks worth of antibiotics, the chemist doesn’t stock them so I need to pick them up tomorrow. Hopefully they’ll work as well as last time.
I decided to walk to my favourite place which is a little further on from the docs. I’d just walked into the parkland and the heavens opened…..full on hailstone with a vengeance. I ended  up going into the little cafe and ordering a cuppa and toastie to warm me up. So that’s £3.20 from my incidental cash pot…there’s no frills…a cheese toastie is just that….no side dressings of salad or anything but for £2.50 it did the job. On my way home once the hail had stopped I decided to pop into M@rris@ns. I had a voucher for £1.50 off £20 and a £5 voucher at the end of 4 weeks if I spend £20 a week. I got a tad carried away with a couple of bags full and at the check out remembered I was on foot and not in the car 😳…..there was no way I could carry everything. I decided to park the trolley in one of the lockers, run home for the car and retrieve my trolley. All the lockers were full….I decided to take the supermarket trolley home ( it’s only around the corner) I got a few weird looks pushing the trolley along the street. I got more strange looks taking it back 😂😂😂😂I was half expecting a security guard pulling me up 😂😂😂…note to me - remember not to buy too much when I’m not in the car 🚘

Haha that made me chuckle about the shopping Milann - number of times I've hauled stuff back from Aldi with things shoved under my arms because I bought more than the space I had in the bags I'd taken - and refused to pay for a bag!

Glad the hip is feeling a bit better - maybe you just moved a bit awkwardly and pulled something that the colder weather then irritated? Also pleased to hear that you got a speedy service from the GP too - excellent!
