The lamb was delicious. I got 10 meals from it which worked out at £2 per meal…including the other ingredients. We’re having it again tonight 😁 Not the cheapest but worth every penny.
I went to the U3A singing group this morning- it was ok but there were a lot of songs I didn’t know. It was a different person running it today.
A friend came around yesterday and brought us 12 baby fish as she was overrun with babies. I’m glad we did the tank out ready for the new arrivals.
Not much else happening £20 spent this morning £5.99 for teabags 😳January spends - £587.581 -
I noticed in T's yesterday that the big "sack" of T3tl3y that I paid £6 for one of when we saw them on the "bulk buy bargains" shelf when we were down in Cornwall 2 years ago is now being advertised as a "bargain" at £10...Still cheaper than buying the smaller packs mind you!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I’m glad the lamb was a success. Tea and coffee are essential (and biscuits) so they are onto a winner. Did I read somewhere that tea and biscuits isn’t fashionable anymore? Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Yes WW I read that the younger generation don’t do tea and biscuits….got to admit I’m trying to break the biscuit habit. I’ve got a big box of chocolate shortbread not opened from Christmas 😂😂😂Not sure what’s happening to me 😂😂😂
A friend came around today and I did us jackets, tuna and salad. We put the world to rights😁👍January spends - £587.581 -

It would have been my mums birthday today she’d have been 106 and passed away far too young at 60. She is my inspirational woman….not just on International Woman’s day but every day.I’m just off to a craft group….not inspired at all with it atm. I’ll give it another go and see if it picks up otherwise I’ll pack it in.
I want to do some shopping on my way home just in case we get the white stuff. We seem to be on the edge of it and the forecast has been fluctuating between heavy snow to sleet. Hoping it’s the latter.January spends - £587.583 -

Sorry to hear you lost your mum far too young. My mum was 71 and I still miss her every single day 💔I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Thanks SA and Beanie. I was 18 when my mum died - my biggest regret is my Dh and children didn’t get to meet her. I’ve tried my best to tell them about her but it’s not the same. It is what it is and we have to get up and get on with life.
I’ve lost 1 1/2lb this morning so am back to where I was before my trip to York. I’m determined to get my 1/2 stone next week before I’m off for another jaunt for 5 days. I must do better whilst away 👍 I need to strike a balance between enjoying my holibobs and acting like Miss Piggy 😂😂🐷😂😂 All rules go out of the window whilst I’m away 🤪😏😳 especially around cakes and coffee shops 😱
I mentioned a while ago that I’d treated myself….it was to a hypnotherapy course. It wasn’t a bit what I expected but I definitely feel it has helped me. I have 1 more session left. I can’t remember who it was but somebody said it was a holistic approach. I totally agree with this and the deep relaxation has helped me get a lot of things into perspective - things I hadn’t realised I’d actually got out of perspective! I hadn’t quite taken on board how much some of life’s traumas had affected me. I think it was money well spent for me - even though twas rather expensive. It has definitely been a whole life approach of gentle suggestion and not just somebody swinging a fobwatch and telling me not to eat chocolate. I still haven’t mentioned it to Dh as he thinks it’s a load of mumbo jumbo. I might tell him in time….it’s got me over a hurdle to kickstart a lot of things 😁😁😁 Onwards and upwards.
I need to get back onto gp next week as some tummy problems have reared their ugly head again and I probably need some more meds to quell things.
Ive got some Spanish style chicken in the slow cooker and it smells rather delicious. Tomorrow I’m going to c@stc@ to re stock my freezer, will be an expensive day, but cheaper in the long run 👍January spends - £587.581 -
Well done on the weight loss , and enjoy the Spanish chicken tonight . Is the next jaunt to Cornwall ?Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.0
