We certainly seem to have badly behaved scales between us.  😂😂😂😂
I went to the U3A craft this morning. It was a catch up and exchange idea for future meetings where sandwiches were provided from last year’s surplus subs. Twas very nice but I suspect I’ve given my scales very good reason to frown at me and tell me naughty numbers.  Can’t turn down a free lunch though 😉 There wasn’t a great deal of crafting done by anybody…..although I ended up trying to teach a lady to crochet.
I’d only been in a few minutes when a good friend phoned to tell me about her hubby, who has been in a home for several years now and doesn’t recognise anyone most of the time. He isn’t  expected to survive the next 48 hours. It’s very sad but probably a blessing in disguise.
Not spent any money in February so far 👍

It’s sad for your friend, but definitely a blessing. It must be terrible visiting for years and him not knowing who she was 😢

Thanks WW. I really feel for the family. We went fairly regularly to see him at the home before covid but once visiting started up again he didn’t know anyone. Just heartbreaking really.

  • So sad when it gets to that stage where they can't recognise loved ones. The person inside is gone but still living so nobody can grieve properly

Rubbish nights sleep last night. My arm was sore and I couldn’t get comfortable, it’s also been one of those day when I need to stay indoors because of side effect to the surgery I’ve had. I’ve had a good run after the medication I had last time so I think I’ll get in touch for another prescription before it escalates again.
Dh finally took the dodgy tyre that went down on me last week. Something to do with the rim which has been repaired for £25. If I’ve been out I’ve used his car….didn’t want to have to call breakdown cover out again….I might have to wait over 2 minutes next time 😂😂👍

Things settled down tummy wise so I went to @sd@ with Dh. I spent £46 and used £25 of the rewards I’d accumulated and the rest from the money on my savings card from Christmas. Felt like totally free shopping. 😀 no actual cash left my bank or purse 😀😀
Dh came up with a bright idea of going away in Millie this weekend…..as in tomorrow. Can’t say I’m enthused at the idea as nothing is ready - I haven’t cleaned the inside of Millie nor done any of the house jobs I like to do before we go away.  I’ll happily go out for the day but not sure about overnight….he wants to give it a run to charge the battery…..will see how I feel tomorrow.
