You so are! You’ve so much on your plate 😢 but battle on. Reading your diary has given me hope I can do things about my debts thank you ☺️4

The diaries are very inspiring, you’ll pick up lots of tips. It helps if you start a diary as it keeps you accountable. You certainly can do something about your debts even if it’s only a bit at a time. I chipped away at mine until they were gone.frisby40 said:You so are! You’ve so much on your plate 😢 but battle on. Morning all.And so The Big Painting Day begins. What could possibly go wrong 🤣
I’m aiming to get the walls done by the end of the day but won’t beat myself up if I don’t. Shutting myself in there with the radio blasting out Christmas tunes for motivation. I’ll factor in the occasional break so I don’t get tired of it as that’s when I start to become slapdash.I think the worst part will be moving the furniture out of the way.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -

It’s going really well! I’ve done two full walls and part of the other walls. I’ve also started on the door and skirting boards. The plan is to let it dry overnight then tomorrow give the floor a good scrub before moving the furniture to the other side of the room so I can finish the walls and skirting boards. Around 10am I would’ve said there’s no way I’ll finish this weekend but now I think I’ll be done tomorrow. At one stage I was beginning to regret painting it yellow and not just painting it the same cream colour but now it’s drying it looks good. It’s a shame it’s not bright and sunny like yesterday so I can see what I’m doing properly. Hopefully it won’t look streaky on a brighter day.I won’t be giving up the day job though 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

I had to touch up a section of the front room wall here this morning SA as when the sun was on it yesterday I could see a patchy bit! Annoying but didn’t take more than a few minutes. That was a darker colour over light though - I suspect you’ll be ok with yellow over cream.Genius stroke of inspiration with the roller!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I’m just glad the ceiling didn’t need doing. The room was painted professionally a couple of years ago and the walls got scratched when we moved the old gym equipment out last year to make it into an office otherwise it would’ve only been the woodwork to freshen up.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Sounds like you're making a great job of it! It's amazing how much better paint looks the next morning when you go in & see it dried & in proper daylight. Good to get it done before Christmas too. Always nice to start the New Year a bit ahead of yourself with tasks.
