Your week sounds busy as usual. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Well done on the freebies (someone will have to start a thread on using up freebie potatoes as I think a few of us have benefitted from them now!). Saving the free coffee till Friday is a lovely idea.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

It’s on the app on the Octoplus tab. The codes usually go live just after 6am and you need to be quick. I usually activate mine around 6.15 on. Monday and you have a week to use it.doingitanyway said:Never tried L smoked Basa...I will check it out

Afternoon all.
Worked in the office this morning then had to be back home for 12.30 for a Mr M delivery. So happy that I'm now not due back in the office until next Monday.
Fortnightly veg box arrived at 6am so I was able to get it in before I left for work.
Rail tickets for Friday purchased using my senior railcard.
Bought a couple of things on my list that had been reduced for Prime day. The Skechers I've got my eye on haven't been reduced further but they're still a bargain so will still order them tomorrow if they're not reduced further tomorrow.
So all in all a spendy day but all planned spending.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and it's resistance bands at 6.30. Plus the dance challenge 🙂
Tonight's dinner is leftover butternut squash stew from Sunday.
Housework wise it's just some ironing and mopping the floors.
Nothing very interesting to report today although that's not necessarily a bad thing in my case 😆

Afternoon all.
WFH today, got up at my usual time so had plenty of time to read and enjoy my coffee in peace.
Ordered the trainers and a pair of same brand boots I had my eye on had reduced so ordered them both. The trainers claim to be waterproof so will be ideal for walking to work when it's wet. I've been putting off buying black trainers for ages as in my mind they're boring and I prefer brightly coloured ones. However they're the sensible choice for walking in the autumn/winter months.
I've got the hairdressers later this afternoon, my hair is desperate for a trim especially my fringe, I look like the Dulux dog 😆
Today's exercise was yoga first thing, dog walking, walking to/from the hairdressers and it's Zumba tonight. Plus the dance challenge.
Tonight's dinner is air fried salmon with air fried baby potatoes and loads of steamed veg.
Mid-week finance check done and an oddment of £3.84 has been sent to the Christmas pot. Money moved from the vet pot to the current account to cover the spend on the vet prescription and online order for the dog's anti-inflammatories.
Finally cashed out £25 from Opinium 🎉
And finally - picked some spring onions from the greenhouse. First time I've grown them.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
Black trainers for every day wear here, but I always got brighter ones for running because I felt like they made me run faster

I wear bright coloured trainers for exercise but black ones do seem more sensible for winter. Although I tend to wear Sk*ch**s boots when its really cold as find trainers don't keep my feet warm.
