Morning all and thank you for your lovely comments, it means a lot.My problem is I don’t get a lot of time away from Mr SA unless I’m in the office and then he rings me several times asking what time I’m coming home. The older cat has been out all night, she likes to sleep under Mr SA’s scooter cover. I’m going to keep an eye on her today to see if she does the squatting again. She seems fine in herself but it could be an infection so will need a check up.The curtains are going back up today 😬
I must give the house a good clean today, see if I can cash out my target £10 from surveys, do enough Spanish to stay in the league and do a meal plan for next week. Oh and take the dog on the park. Must remember to take a long garden cane with me as yesterday I threw her ball and it landed in a tree out of reach. I’m going to try and retrieve it today. Mr SA says I throw her ball like it’s an Olympic sport and I’ve lost several that have sailed over fences and got stuck in trees.Hoping to get all my jobs done by lunchtime or shortly afterwards so I can watch a film this afternoon and spend some time making a start on the new planner.Just remembered I need to apply flea treatment to the furries and make a batch of soup for next week’s work lunches.First full week back at work, going to be a killer. Will be super busy too as I’ve suddenly acquired 4 new people to look after as their assistant has gone on a career break for a year. Not sure how I’m going to fit them in with my PA role and 2 voluntary roles 🤔I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
Hope Mr SA and the cat are OK today.4

Hope you have a better day and next week goes well with new changes for you
we started the day giving my son a hair cut although the neighbours will wonder if there was a murder with all the screaming 🤷♀️5 -
The curtains are back up 🥳 Not holding my breath as the left hand side bracket is looking very strained. It’s definitely the weight of the curtains. If they fall down again then I’m afraid it’s a new pole and lighter curtains.
Took the dog on the park armed with a long cane but still couldn’t reach the ball stuck in the tree. Even Mr SA couldn’t reach it and he’s a foot taller than me. Cutting my losses and will buy a new ball. I must remember to not throw the balls so high in future. In money news today is NSD 3 of January and I’ve cashed out £6.85 in survey money. Got some pending so won’t hit my £10 target this week unless it clears. Tomorrow the new 4 week budget period starts for the grocery and general spends. Will look at properly tomorrow but there should be a reasonable amount left over.Have started to think about my 3 month goals, my new planner is laid out this way which suits me fine as I can’t really look too far ahead with Mr SA. It also handily takes me up to more or less the April holiday so a target to aim for. What the heck is a mind map? There are a few pages of dots called this. No idea what they’re for - looks like something I don’t have time to do 😆
After a beautiful sunny morning the sky is black and it’s hailing here.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
My interpretation of a mind map is to write Central idea/target in the centre of the page….with lines out to ideas on how to achieve them…..I might be wrong but I think is as simple as that.
You we’re lucky washing the curtains….I’ve washed many curtains that have been dry clean only. However the last ones I washed came out in a melted ball 🙄 I could have cried as I loved them 😢January spends - £587.586 -
I love mind maps….. Like you, at first, I didn’t understand how they would work, but they do.
I also used them when revising, as I found I could visualise what ideas were where on the page and therefore remember lots more information.
Give one a try5 -
If you really like the curtains, you could put up extra brackets alongside the ones that are there.
