Lovely to see some nice greenery, and purplery!
Good on you donating the radio, we need future electricians (though do you get it back if a kid fixes it 😁)
Glad the ankle is gradually healing but reading in the sun with prosecco definitely sounds like the better plan, keep taking it as easy as you can2 -
I did smile to myself when you said you'd sacked off all cleaning jobs and sat in the sun with a Prosecco 🥂 Cleaning can wait and a bit of relaxation works wonders for the soul!1

Happy Monday, here we go again.
I wasn't feeling the love for work this morning, couldn't believe it when the alarm went off.
Worked in the office this morning and doing the afternoon shift from home.
I've booked Wednesday off as it's forecast to be 30 degrees and I don't want to be stuck indoors. I thought I could catch up with housework in the morning, do outside jobs in the afternoon and still get some time in my chair.
Picked up my free coffee on the way to work. Used my thermos cup so got a golden stamp on my coffee app.
Stopped off at Lid! on the way home. Mr SA met me as I wanted to pick up a huge sack of potatoes as my free veg item. Also picked up a free Belgian bun for Mr SA. I've now got a backlog of free bakery items to pick up 😆Noticed they had a lot of the £1.50 veg boxes on the way out. Our branch keeps them in the most ridiculous place where you can't see them until you've passed through the checkouts. They tend to be mainly full of lots of the same thing so I don't usually bother but these ones were great so I made the effort to go back into the store and queue up again. There's a really good selection of fruit and veg all of which I'll use so I'm really pleased with it.
Have done my usual Monday finance update and I've had a 98p underspend in the grocery budget, Not a lot but better than an overspend and I had the organic veg box included in last week's spends.
CC balance has been paid off.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and I have a live strength training session at 7.15.
My ankle is still hurting a bit but was a lot better coming down the stairs at work today compared to Friday when I was really struggling. Hopefully going in the right direction.
Tonight's dinner is something very quick and simple - scampi with wedges and steamed veg. Not had scampi for a while.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Are you having a weekly organic veg box or fortnightly? I found a fortnightly box was fine if combined with F&V from Lidl a box or whatever is on offer...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Have come away from the food inspiration workshop tonight with a long list of new recipes to try. This week it’s Moroccan themed recipes. Then went to another food planning workshop about growing your own veg, followed by the strength training session. I do get my £6.95 a month’s worth from this app 😆
I’d just sat down to put my feet up for an hour at 8pm when Mr SA dropped a full glass of beer and it shattered into lots and lots of tiny pieces plus drenched the floor with beer 😞 I had just steam mopped this floor earlier as there were some sticky stains around his chair. Had to get out the proper mop and bucket to clean it up. Thank goodness we don’t have carpets! I think I’ve managed to get all the glass up. It upset the dog and she’s gone to bed early.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
Grrrrr, that's the problem with beer, it's so damn sticky. What a nuisance.
