Well caught there. I really wouldn't like to think of Mr SA having to try to deal with that, well anybody really.1

Glad you caught the chap, that would have been a nightmare to deal with!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Happy Saturday 🥂
Not a lot happening today. Went to the big Mr T with the soft plastics recycling and picked up a couple of bits on offer that are things I buy frequently such as a huge block of reduced fat cheese and tofu. The dog got a good walk out of the trip too. When we got back home I sat in my hanging chair reading with a coffee. After lunch had to return to the hanging chair to finish my book as it was so good.Mr SA has been haunting the charity shop again and has bought the dog a new lead that she didn’t really need.Exercise has been walking to/from Mr T 12,000 steps.Tonight’s dinner is pizza, salad and Prosecco 🥳I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
The two latest books read both brilliant. OMG the Tracy Sierra one, so scary but so good, couldn’t put it down 😱

That’s another weekend done 😢 Thankfully only a 3 day working week for me 🥳
DD was working today so managed to give the kitchen and bathroom a good clean this morning.Took the dog for a walk on the park then had a coffee in my hanging chair. After lunch we paid a visit to a summer fete at a local park. It was ok but aimed at kids mainly. Didn’t spend anything despite Mr SA hankering after a beer and a samosa 😆
Did a bit of garden tidying then back in my chair with leftover Prosecco from last night.Today has been a NSD.Made a batch of veggie chilli for tonight’s dinner with 3 portions left for the freezer.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
Afternoon all, happy Monday. No more working Mondays until 8 September. My birthday week starts here 😎
Worked in the office this morning and came home at lunchtime to finish up.
Stopped at Lid! on the way home. Free doughnut for Mr SA picked up - he's loving all these sweet treat freebies. This generated another free sweet treat coupon and I've now hit the next free gift target which is crisps this month so will get the largest variety pack to make the most of it (another freebie for Mr SA).
Activated my free weekly coffee code but I'm saving it for Friday when I'm shopping in the city centre prior to meeting my friends.
New 4 week budget period starts today so closed off the last budget period with a total underspend of £154.76. Had a total grocery underspend of £24.25. Sent £22.26 to the Christmas pot, £20 to the stock up pot, £12.50 to the vet pot to round it up, £20 to the tech replacement pot to cover the £20 for Mr SA's phone, £60 to my birthday celebrations pot and £20 to the home improvements pot.
I'm definitely keeping the grocery pot as a weekly budget as it worked so well this time.
I've downsized my fortnightly veg box for one that doesn't include potatoes as I have so many especially after getting the free sack of potatoes with the Lid! coupon. My last one was for 3-4 people when in reality the majority of the contents were only consumed by me so have gone for a 1-2 people box this time. Having said that it's only £2 less so we shall see what I get.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and it's strength training tonight.
Tonight's dinner a portion of the veg chilli I made yesterday with potato wedges - use up some more of those potatoes 😆I've got the two meal planning workshops tonight where I come away with a long list of ideas. - I think I need to devote a separate notebook for recipes/ideas I like the sound of as my lists are all over the place depending on which notepad is to hand at the time.

I am the same with potatoes. I don't eat them much but the veg box company I use only does one box so I have to accept them. I like the R has lots of choice. You are doing well with your budgetsIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

@Sun_Addict I have used the wonky veg one, but considering it isn't organic it isn't that cheap and the quality was variable. I'm using a tiny organic farm who do a veg box where I live, not known out of the area. Really happy with it.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
