I love that it's getting cooler, though the CH won't be going on until 1st October. I expect there will still be warmer days to come in September. There usually are. Remember when we went back to school at the beginning of September & generally spent the 1st couple of weeks sweltering in our new uniforms?

I'm with Foxgloves in loving the cooler weather.

Sorry to hear of traveller woes at least the ones we had here were reasonably civilised except with bathroom habits.

You've mentioned using the 'free  veg' from L1dl to buy a big bag of potatoes so I looked into it and our local one does indeed have large bags worth £4+. I think I'd better grab one before they realise there's a loophole!

I don’t think it’s a loophole as such. All the free items include a few higher priced ones, the trick is remembering to put only one item of that kind in your basket or you lose out. Just recently I’ve had free dishwasher tabs worth £5, the potatoes worth £4 and a pack of 30 crisps worth £4. I hope you manage to get your potatoes.
