Happy birthday week. I sent my DIL a text this morning wishing her a happy birthday because I'd set a calendar reminder to make sure I sent a card in time, doh!
I know you don't eat many potatoes SA, but when I'm doing mash I make double and line a casserole-dish-lid with foil or greaseproof paper then fill it with mash and freeze it. It's great for cottage pies. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?5 -

Thank you all. I shall feel in a more celebratory mode once I've logged off for leave tomorrow.
Another office day today but thankfully the last one for a week. WFH tomorrow then that's my working week done.
The veg box arrived at 5.30 this morning! The delivery bloke gave me a shock when he knocked on the door at that time! However he phoned me yesterday to say he'd be early but estimated 6.30, I told him I got up at 4.45 so that was fine. The smaller box will be fine for me as there's plenty of veg in it so will permanently swap. The only difference was no potatoes.
We do get through a fair amount of potatoes as we all eat them. I only really have baked potatoes and wedges though, I don't like them mashed. It's just that the large sack I get free from Lid! are plenty big enough for us so we don't need extra.
Stopped off at Lid! on the way home from work. Picked up a free cookie for Mr SA from Lid! and a free 30 pack of assorted crisps, also for Mr SA.
The Mr M delivery is coming shortly, although that's mainly beer, wine and pet food.
So that's us all stocked up for a while apart from a couple of things.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and it's resistance bands tonight.
Tonight's dinner is an old favourite I make a fair bit harissa prawn orzo.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

Morning all.
WFH today and my last working day until next Tuesday.
Mid-week finance check done. CC balance cleared and an oddment of £2.93 has gone to the Christmas pot.
I need to sort out Mr SA's credit card as he tried to use it yesterday to buy me a birthday card and it was declined. I suspect this is because he never uses it (thank goodness). Oh my days he loved to spend on that credit card when he was well so this is a complete transformation. As primary account holder I've already explained the situation to the card company and why he hardly uses it but I don't want them to de-activate it just in case. Guess I'll have to go through all this again!
I did my usual live yoga session first thing which was lovely and relaxing. Exercise for the rest of the day will be dog walking later this morning, an abs session at lunchtime and Zumba tonight.
Trying a new recipe for tonight's dinner Slow Cooker Vegetarian Greek Baker's Pot. I don't like feta cheese but I do like salad cheese so will use that. I'm not sure what difference it will make if I leave out the sugar, I don't buy it as a rule but might have some muscovado sugar lurking around. I'm always suspicious of adding sugar and salt to recipes 😆
I'm glad I swapped taking today off for being off last Wednesday. Can't believe it was over 30 degrees just a few days ago, I'm not ready for this cooler weather yet!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
Forgot to say the neighbour fetched the trellis and put it up yesterday. I told Mr SA to ask for his bank details so I could transfer the money but the neighbour is on holiday as from 2.30 am when I spotted the family leaving for the airport. I don't usually lurk at the window at that time in the morning but I'd been to the loo and saw the headlights. I can't believe I also spotted someone running - at that time in the morning! In proper running gear too, not just someone running away 😆
The trellis looks good but it's a bit more gappy than I would've chosen myself. It finishes the fence off which was the main aim I suppose. The neighbour replaced the fence where my beach area is and he misjudged the height so there was a space where it was just fence posts and nothing in between. It looks better so I'm not moaning 🤣
Apparently travellers have set up camp on a nearby field after being evicted from one a bit further away. There has been talk of locals being threatened when they've walked in the area. At least they can't set up on the park across the road as there are bollards and the paths are too narrow for large vehicles anyway.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
@Sun_Addict. I too do not like the cooling temperatures. I love being able to go out without a coat on in warm sunshine. Instead we are coming to the time when the weather is cooling down and I am seeing the CH word being used .I am a Senior Ambassador on the Competitions Time Board and the Old Style MoneySaving Board.
