It didn’t bother our dog either thankfully. Apparently it was coming from the country park area, possibly a wedding party nearby.borefest said:my son and his g/f were complaing about those fireworks this morning but surprisingly their new pup slept through it all

Got home to find the dog had been sick on the duvet cover so had to strip that off and the stain had gone through to the duvet itself 😖 Used the mattress stain remover spray I bought for Mr SA’s accidents and it miraculously got rid of the stain in a very short time. Once it had dried had to change the cover, last changed just 2 days ago 😞
Had a lovely end of the working week soak in the bath. I don’t have many baths in the summer but this one felt much needed. The neighbour is back on the fence replacing trail and it’s looking great. He went to BnQ to source the trellis I said we’d pay for but declared it overpriced and bad quality so he’s got someone he knows to make some. A bonus is as he’s replacing the fence he’s also cutting back some overgrown bushes between our gardens and putting the cuttings in his skip. Our garden waste bin is already overflowing after only being emptied on Tuesday so pleased about this.Tonight’s dinner was roast salmon with za’atar. Not made this for years and really enjoyed it. The za’atar was purchased for this very recipe years ago and is probably well out of date but it tasted fine.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

The new fence sounds great, and nice of the neighbour to arrange to have decent trellis as well
