What a nuisance about the vets. 500 squids on a cats tooth clean 😲 You could take it to Turkey and get it implants for that amount 😂3

Sorrry to hear about your wasted vet visit. We are lucky as ours is about a 5 minute walk, well 15 minute these days. The only snag is the emergency vet is about an hour away by car and down very narrow country roads.2

I have to take one cat and the dog to the vet together tomorrow and I'm not looking forward to doing that in the car - how does the cat like the scooter?3

Oh that is so annoying about the vet. Everything takes more time when you don't drive & taking cats to the vet is stressful enough as it is.

rachmac3 said:I feel for you with the vets, I currently have to use three different places, between 25mins and 50mins drive away. I really wish one place would see them all. I would have been fuming if I'd got there for no reason. I am enjoying the image of the cat in the basket on the scooter with you and the dog walking alongside. I think my heart would burst if I saw that in my village, so cute!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Happy Friday eve.
WFH again today. I was up before 5am so had a lovely relaxing start to the day.
Did a couple of surveys, the only ones I seems to be getting at the moment are YG and Opinium ones, not had many PA ones at all as I'm not prepared to upload data or photos and I use my iPad not my laptop which narrows it down further. I still have the same £20 in PA that's been sitting there since April.
Attempt 2 at taking the cat to the vets this morning. Hopefully she'll finally get her booster today. Mr SA got all excited and put his scooter on charge because he thought we were going to the further away vets. He wanted to stop off at a pub for lunch on the way back - bearing in mind the appointment is at 9.15, we would have the cat with us and I'm working!!
He drives me nuts with his constant wanting to go out somewhere every day, this is something I'm dreading when I retire.
I'll be glad when DD goes back to work. She seems to be constantly in the kitchen making breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything she makes seems to involve lots of chopping of fruit/salad/veg and she has exactly the same thing to eat every day which would bore me to tears. She's recently discovered she likes green lentils so they seem to feature in her dinner every day. I'm struggling to find a slot where it's safe to give the kitchen a good clean because sooner or later she's back in there chopping again!
Today's exercise is walking to/from the vets, a lunchtime weights session and Zumba tonight.
I need to use up a ball of mozzarella today so will probably roast some veg and make a couple of portions of pasta bake, one for tonight's dinner with a spare portion for another day.
Hoping it will be a NSD as we don't need anything and the vet visit is covered by the monthly pet plan.

Thankfully the vet visit is done and dusted. Last year they were concerned she'd lost weight after saying she needed to lose weight the year before 😐 Anyway she's now back to the weight she used to be. She's in good condition for 15 so they're happy with her. She's had her booster and some new combined flea/worming treatment in one that only has to be repeated every 3 months. She was really good, bless her, the vet commented how laid back she is. She did a silent miaow when the needle went in the back of her neck though so she didn't like that 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

After mentioning the coffee pods drop off points the other day I've received an email from Podback to say pods can now be recycled at Mr M as well as Mr A. Mr M is a lot closer and we are regularly down that way or can get DD to drop them off when she goes to work. Don't need to label them at Mr M which is a lot better. Would be even better if the local big Mr T had a drop off point, hopefully that's on the cards as I think some have just not ours.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Glad to hear the cat is sorted.
Mr SA did make me laugh with his request for a pub lunch after a 9.15am appointment1
