Up early but only managed a short time with my book before Mr SA got up.  It’s going to be a long day 😞

Later this morning I want to go to Lid! to see if they have the advertised cooling mats for dogs. Then carry on to the city centre to pick up some hand weights I ordered from Rgos being delivered to a little Mr S. I was going to pick the weights up tomorrow when I’m in the office but realised they might be a tad heavy to carry home. So Mr SA will be coming with me to put them on his scooter. It’s only a bit further on from Lid! so not much out of the way.

Not bought anything from Rgos for ages but they had by far the best price for the weights and I’ve been going to get some heavier ones for some time.

The young cat has been out all night and is now sleeping it off upstairs. She has a big clump of fur missing on the back of her neck from fighting.

It’s the free energy hour at 2pm so will use that to make a vegetable lasagne, soup for work lunches  and a batch of gunpowder cauliflower curry. Will also do a load of washing. Got a really busy week ahead so want to get a head start on it.

Today’s exercise will be walking to the city centre and back plus another day of the abs challenge.

I like Rgos for exercise stuff. Got my kettle bell from there.  What size weights have you bought?

3 and 4 kg hand weights so 14kg in total. They’re on half price at the moment.

Cooling mat for the dog picked up, also a free jar of sun dried tomatoes. Weights picked up. The young lad who brought them out from the back of Mr S asked if I was going to be ok as they were heavy. Do I really look that flimsy 🤣 I was glad not to be carrying them all the way home though so good call to pick them up today.

The dog has never been to the city centre before and loved sniffing the pavements 😆 It was funny to see her looking around at a new to her location. I had to stop her sniffing strangers feet though, she has a thing about feet.

Mr SA has gone for his siesta thank goodness. He was sitting ready to go out with his man bag on a good couple of hours before we needed to set out this morning.

Your dog sniffing strangers feet made me smile  :)
Mr SA waiting with his man bag on for hours before you needed to go would make me anxious...

Yes him waiting ready to go out well before we’re due to leave is very stressful 😐

The dog loves her cooling mat so that’s good.

In garden news the mangetout are growing faster than I can pick them. I also have several courgettes not quite big enough yet but almost there. Also growing well are kale, lettuce, tomatoes, spring onions, radishes, chard, peppers and spinach. Plus several herbs. Pleased with that lot, some of which I’ve not grown before.

The young cat has a bite on her neck that I’m hoping isn’t going to result in a trip to the vets 😞 She’s asleep upstairs at the moment. She’s a little so and so, fighting, hunting and constantly on the go. She’s 3 now and not much bigger than a kitten. I wish she’d settle down and mature a bit. I’ve not seen her cross the road today so hoping that was a one off 🙏🤞

Cat bites are nasty so probably best to get her seen. One of mine is currently having eyedrops three times a day after a run in with a tom cat (she also had puncture wounds on her shoulders). After a couple of other incidents last year I now take them to the vet any time they come home stinking of tom, as it’s not worth risking an infection.

Sorry to mention this, but when I was in England one year a young man who was sleeping rough at the Paddington Station had his dog attacked with a knife when he sniffed someone's feet. The dog survived, but you might want to be careful as there are some very unstable people out there.

    Hope the cat is ok
