Probably won’t be this year. Mr SA is hard work to take away and I’m constantly on tenterhooks, we might have to pay for the dog’s op if the insurance won’t cover it plus DD is having her op soon.

The bed in the hotel was super comfortable which I realised was due to a fairly thick mattress topper. I’m thinking about getting one so if anyone can recommend one I’d appreciate it. Needs to be easily washable though.

Dunelm had a large selection when I bought mine last year. I can't remember which one I bought in the end, but I'm very happy with it. It's fairly thick & doesn't wrinkle up or move about at all.

So nice to wake up in my own bed this morning although not feeling the love for going to the hairdressers. Thankfully it’s only at the end of my road so not far to go. When I get back there’ll be the shopping to put away then we need to take the dog on the park. 

Today will be all about doing the washing, unpacking and giving the house a good clean. Also need to sort finances out and do a belated payday shuffle to the savings pots. Oh and the plants need to go back in the greenhouse. Gardening is a job for tomorrow though, I can’t do everything. 

There’s the park volunteers meeting tonight but definitely not going this time. I was sorry to hear the councillors that were supporting us and attending the meetings have lost their seats at the local elections. They’ve held that seat for years so quite a shock. 

Not back at work until Thursday but starting to wish I’d taken the whole week off now. I’m shattered 😴 This holiday lark is no good for me 🤣

I know what you mean about your own bed. I was so glad to get mine back after my little break.

I don’t seem to be getting very far with the unpacking and cleaning although 2 loads of washing have been done and pegged out. 

When I’d packed away the shopping on my return from the hairdresser we got ready to take the dog out when Mr SA uttered the immortal words ‘I can’t find my keys’ 😞 Eventually found them on the dining room table where he’d thrown them when we arrived home yesterday! I did worry at first because when we were on the plane yesterday he was constantly taking everything out of his man bag and putting back in. At one stage he couldn’t find his phone and I had to retrieve it from under the seat behind us 😐

Finally!! After 2 years I’ve finally won a prize on the PBs 🥳 Don’t get too excited it was only £25 but a win is a win. I got a text and thought it was a scam but checked the app just in case and yes it was true 🙂
