We went to the airport but can you believe no planes took off or landed while we were there. As soon as we turned around to head back several appeared but unfortunately didn’t get to see any that close up. Typical!
All going well so far apart from the hunt for a ham and cheese baguette for Mr SA. We ended up in a cheap and cheerful restaurant where I was surprised just how nice my wrap was but the sangria was like red lemonade. I had to smile as the waiter commented I hadn’t eaten the fruit and it’s the best bit. I was tempted to respond it would’ve been better if I found some alcohol in it 😆 Anyway the food was very nice as were the staff. The airport walk and back was well over 20,000 steps so I was glad to get back to the room and put my feet up. The sun had gone from our patio so I ended up round the pool with my book while Mr SA watched a war film and slept.Mr SA managed to scrounge another man bag last night 😐 The other new bag was immediately abandoned and he sat unzipping and zipping back up the pockets and adjusting the straps for ages. It kept him entertained anyway. Annoyingly he’s still looking at man bags when we pass the shops. Can’t believe it’s our last day already tomorrow although I’m starting to get fed up of going out to eat and I have withdrawal symptoms from lentils and chickpeas 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -

It looks wonderful, especially those steps. I wonder what Mr SA would have fixated on in the days before man bags? Perhaps you have had a lucky escape from walking sticks, top hats, spats or meerschaums?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
