That's Wednesday done. Worked in the office until lunchtime then finished at home.
I needed a couple of ring binders to organise the recipes I cut out of magazines so popped into The Works on my way home. Despite having lots of empty notepads I couldn't resist a very colourful project book for just £4. I love project books, full of possibilities, not sure what possibilities mind but hey ho 🤣 It matches my new ring binders anyway.
Then stopped at Lidl but only £4 spent there as stuck to my list. I need to go back either tomorrow or Friday as I want a few of the trellises they're selling from tomorrow plus Japan is flavour of the week from tomorrow and it looks like the Edamame beans are back so will be filling my freezer up. I still have the free drink to pick up.
Saved myself quite a few quid by renewing a magazine subscription that's due to expire and revert to full price in a couple of months. 12 issues for £18 secured, which is heaps better than the £37.99 it was due to renew at. I already have enough in my subscriptions pot to cover it. I was going to cancel and wait for them to send me an offer but it allowed me to renew at a good price without having to cancel. I've emailed them though asking them to link the two subscriptions together so I don't get 2 copies for the next couple of months (this has happened in the past).
GHIC cards were applied for on Monday and have arrived today. Our EHICs ran out in January so we needed the new ones for our April holiday in just over 5 weeks. Thanks to the insurance company sending a text to remind me as it might have slipped my attention.
Mid week finance check done and cc balance paid off. An oddment of £5.96 has gone to the Christmas pot.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and it's Zumba at 6pm.
Tonight's dinner is the final portion of leek and chestnut lasagne from freezer stocks with salad.
Housework task is ironing, cleaning the hall and stairs plus a mini kitchen clean.

Just out of interest can you get any hot chocolate pods from anywhere that work with the Nespresso machines. Dh feels very hard done by when he sees some of the choc pods for the other machines. I’m not buying a different machine just so he can have chocolate when there perfectly good cocoa in the cupboard he can mix with milk 😂
I do feel for Mr SA and many others worrying if they’ll loose out with the new rulings 🥴January spends - £587.581 -
That was very quick turnaround for your GHIC. Not long til your holiday now.

Happy Spring - winter has gone (in theory anyway) 😁
WFH today.
I have an appointment with the dental hygienist at 9am and I've blocked out my work calendar until my 11am meeting so while I'm out I can carry on to Lid!. I need to make a list as there are a few things I want to pick up, provided they're available. I'll get Mr SA to meet me there so I can put the shopping on his scooter. He'll bring the dog so she can walk back.
So today's exercise will be walking to/from dentists and Lid! plus a strength training class at lunchtime and Zumba tonight.
Tonight's dinner is the final portion of veg chilli from the freezer with a baked sweet potato.
I've done two loads of washing as the weather is lovely. It's so nice to be finally bringing in fully dry washing again, one of life's simple pleasures.

Can you believe just as I was about to leave the house for the hygienist appointment they rang to cancel as she's called in sick. As I was ready to leave decided to go straight to Lid! instead. It actually worked out better for me in the end. Spent £85 in Lid!, never spent that much in there before 😲 A big portion of that was on trellis as I picked up 8 panels. Also bought 5 bags of Edamame beans so that's me stocked up for a year more or less. I also took advantage of the diffuser and candle offer as I love a particular scent they do. The candles smell gorgeous and burn right down to the bottom. I've now qualified for the next free item but not very impressed with that one - protein drinks, yoghurts and desserts, I'll struggle to use that one unless they've got the Skyr yoghurt in stock.
