Morning all, happy Saturday 🥂
I thought I might feel a bit rough this morning after all the gin and wine yesterday but I feel fine. Probably because the drinks were staggered over several hours and there was food involved.Good job I feel ok because we promised DS and family we would meet them at a local big garden centre today. Provided one of them doesn’t fall ill again that is. It’s a very long walk so no soft plastic recycling this morning that can wait until tomorrow. I still need to go to the local shops and we might take the dog for a quick run on the park. We will take the dog with us to the garden centre but it’s too far for her to walk at her slow old lady pace so she’ll be on the scooter a fair bit or it will take us hours. She’s 13 this month bless her, still quite energetic though.I’ve got loads of cleaning to catch up on this weekend plus gardening. Mr SA tried to help with the gardening yesterday and has planted out the not really ready yet sweet peas 😞 I don’t think they’re big enough yet and it’s too early for them to be out of the greenhouse. I appreciate he was trying to do something helpful but I wish he’d checked first. He also planted a honeysuckle I’d bought for a particular part of the garden elsewhere.Pizza and Prosecco night tonight 🍕🍾I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
I hope you get a good day with the grandkids and their parents.
If I were you I'd move that honeysuckle in a few days when Mr SA's attention is elsewhere.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

We haven’t been back long from the garden centre. It is 27,099 steps there and back including walking around it of course. We’ve now got 6 new fish swimming happily in the pond. Stopped off at a pub on the way home and sat outside in the sunshine with a G&T. Ready to put my feet up later tonight. Just had a nice soak in the bath. The dog enjoyed her day and is absolutely shattered now.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Sounds as if you’ve had a lovely couple of outings. Pity about all the clearing up you’ve had to do.
Just wondering if you have a health power of attorney for Mr SA and if you could insist he goes for tests re his bowel. Not sure how you could make him do it though f he still didn’t want to. It sounds as if he really needs to….he could do with a doctor he trusts to talk him into it.January spends - £587.582 -
@Sun_Addict - If Mr SA is really anti having the bowel camera, there could possibly be the option of a virtual CT colonoscopy. That's what I had 2 years ago when I was ill & diagnosed with an IBD. I was supposed to have the standard camera colonoscopy but the Consultant Radiographer thought the virtual CT version would be safer for me at the time. It did involve a bowel prep diet & hideous medicine the day before, but the procedure itself was ok. I don't know if patients get a choice, but it is another way of diagnosing bowel conditions & as you said, bowel incontinence isn't 'normal' & most people would want it investigated so that it would hopefully stop!
BTW, 27,000 steps has put my 6000 to shame & here's me thinking I'd been out for a nice leg stretch!

Thank you both. He needs to find out what is causing his issues so he can avoid if food related. He’s quite concerned about it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

A couple of photos from en route to the garden centre this is just a 15 minute walk from our house. It’s a shame we don’t come here more often because it’s a lovely route but there are too many dogs here for our dog hating dog 😆

Happy Sunday.Up early as I have loads to do today. Need to catch up with the housework and gardening for starters. Hoping to get some time in my hanging chair and finally finish my current book. I’ve not enjoyed this book but determined to finish it now I’m so close to the end. Can’t believe it’s back to the grindstone again tomorrow although I’m finishing at lunchtime to meet my friend, looking forward to that.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
