Oh all this talk of carpet cleaners has reminded me that we could do with getting one.
We had ours professionally cleaned a couple of years ago and they came up great but not sure they are worth the expense now they are 6 years old and more worn.
They definitely need a clean again though!2 -
Finally bought a carpet cleaner, I went for the Shark Xpert Hair Pro Pet Deep Carpet Cleaner with built in StainStriker. I went via TCB so have £16.67 cashback to come from that purchase. It had better be good after all that debating and research 🤣
Also booked in my pre-holiday nails. She was almost all booked up for the end of April already!
Have just dyed my eyebrows, quite pleased with them for a first attempt. They're so fair they're almost invisible so at least it looks like I've got some eyebrows now. Was surprised how easy it was and the kit does around 10 goes for the price of 1 at the beauty salon.
Next on the list is to clean the kitchen before DD comes home from work and starts cooking.
The weather has been beautiful today so have towels drying outside.
Mr SA has been haunting the charity shop again and has come back with a pair of boots for £7. He must be their best customer, it was gloves last week. It is a pretty decent shop though and a lot of their stuff looks brand new.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -

Hurrah for the cashback. Is it too sad that I'm genuinely looking forward to hearing about your shark carpet cleaner results 😂2

Thanks for the link to the butternut squash, mushroom & chestnut lasagne sounds delicious and the perfect thing to serve when our friends visit.
I forgot who was asking about bedroom floors without carpet, we have wooden floors in all the bedrooms, I've never felt the floors were cold, I do slip on a pair of lightweight knitted slippers if I'm up in the night but that is because the tiled floor in the ensuite is cold. It is easy to be aware of the dust building up if it isn't swept regularly, which makes me realise how yucky most carpets must be.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Re walking poles, we went to see Ben Elton earlier this month & he was going on about walking poles .....it did make me think instantly of Mr SA & the walking pole pester!

Enjoy your Shark! We have the little hand-held one and it's great for hair. I'd be interested to hear how you find yours. I did read a review that it's good but not as long-lasting as some makes, but that was after I'd bought it and it's lasted about six months so far.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living.
