Thank you for the chestnut lasagne recipe. I regularly make a chestnut & leek bake, so when I saw vacuum packs of chestnuts going for half price after Christmas in Aldi, I stocked up. I'm looking forward to making the lasagne. KA

Doing your nail varnish at home occasionally sounds like a good idea.  My problem is that I'm ok using my right hand to paint my left hand nails but am not too good at using my left hand to paint my right hand nails.

I'm not too bad painting nails with my left hand - had many many years of practice 😆

Congrats on the vouchers! Can they be put towards a carpet cleaner?
Poor young cat, do you have suspicions as to why?

The vouchers are for me to treat myself. I already have the money set aside for the carpet cleaner.

I wonder if your cat has cystitis. One of our past cats would pee indoors for this reason & the behaviour would stop aa soon as it cleared up. We always knew this was a sign for a vet appt, antibiotics, etc.

She’s always done it ever since we got her. I think a lot of it is she’s marking her territory. She was also semi feral and not used to being indoors. Yesterday she was sniffing the rug with that open mouthed thing cats do then she sprayed it. Earlier the dog had been rolling around on it so must’ve left her scent. She’s also very impatient so if I don’t let her out straightaway in the morning she pees on the hall carpet. She’s very naughty it’s a good job she’s cute with it.

  • @Sun_Addict, I would highly recommend doing the carpets yourself. We have a vax carpet cleaner and it’s great, with the winter our carpets weren’t looking great so we got someone in and it was not as good as the job we’d do. It takes quite a few hours to do our carpets properly but the money saved over the years is worth the effort.

Well done on your vouchers too  :)
