Can’t believe another weekend is almost over 😭
I’ve had a very productive day today and have ticked off everything on my to do list.Had a massive declutter of ancient nail varnishes. I generally have gel varnish done at the beauty salon so rarely paint my own nails mainly because I hate the chips. Got rid of all the ones that were years old and just kept the newest ones. It’s a shame nail varnish can’t be recycled. Also moved my toiletry stash from the walk in cupboard in the bedroom to a shelf in my wardrobe which freed up some space.Made a list of all the herbs and spices I have. Everything in the cupboards and freezer is now listed.Took the dog to the park and did some litter picking. Was thanked by someone who said I was making a real difference 🙂 It was blooming cold out there so we didn’t stay out too long.Gave the house a good clean, vacuumed and steam scrubbed all the floors. Also did 2 lots of laundry and some ironing.Loads of Spanish learning done. Read a few chapters of my latest book.
Money wise a NSD.TiVo box sorted.
Yoga session done.Put a colour on my hair and had a face mask. Was contacted by a PA survey for my opinion on something in the D&I space which earned me a bonus. My voluntary role at work is D&I lead so very appropriate, although they knew this hence the contact.Tonight’s dinner was roast vegetables and chickpeas with salmon. Made extra roast veg and will have that in a pitta bread for lunch tomorrow.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Phew!
Tomorrow - work and 20,000 steps plus an exercise class or two, trip to shops for a couple of errands and walk the dog for light relief? You are really amazing! And it must feel good having so many things off the 'to do' list.
Dinner sounds delicious: do you roast the chick peas as well as the veg?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Your days must have more hours than hours. Thought I'd done a lot yesterday, but nowhere near that amount. Although TBF, we did sit down & watch a film for about hour & half in afternoon....although I was knitting at the same time....lol

That's Monday done.
Worked in the office until just after 2pm then finished up at home. Decluttered 4 read books at the work book swap and managed not to pick any up in exchange.
Free coffee picked up this morning.
Stopped off at Lid! on the way home and have hit the free veg target. Talking of veg they had loads of the cheap fruit and veg boxes which is very rare at this particular branch. Shame they put them after you've checked out as they looked half decent. I couldn't face getting back in the very long queue.
Monday finances check done. DD paid her board so that's gone to the holiday pot. CC balance cleared.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and I have a live Fun Fitness class at 6pm.
Tonight's dinner is scampi from freezer stocks (had 3 bags!) with steamed veg and a few potato wedges.
Need to finalise the Mr M order for tomorrow's delivery.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Why do L*d! do that with there veg boxes? Our branch very rarely has any, but when they do, they are always after the tills, and you can't get round to get one before joining the queue, unless you squeeze past all the people at the tills first....really stupid idea! Hoping there might be some when I go this week. The last one I had was mainly fruit, but there was so much, I even shared it with DD.Making the debt go down and savings go up

I think lidlee put the £1.50 boxes the other side of the checkout to stop shoppers loading them up with full priced veg on their way round the shop. However, last week in the fruit aisle I watched a shopper ease open the net bag containing oranges and manage to squeeze in 3 extra oranges.2
