Happy Friday eve, so glad this week is nearly done, well work-wise that is.
WFH today thank goodness. Slept like a log and didn't wake up until 6am.
The Lid! I go in has always had self checkouts but has upgraded them and changed the layout. There isn't as much space as before so I wonder if one of the reasons was to prevent people taking trollies through them and slowing the queue. I know some people don't like self checkouts but I like to check the prices as they go through and make sure my Plus Card has scanned. There's always a security guard standing by the self checkouts so doubt many get away with shoplifting.
Today's exercise plan is dog walking later this morning, a live weights class at lunchtime and Zumba tonight.
Tonight's dinner is Spanish style butterbean stew, an old favourite which will use up some spinach and vegetarian chorizo sausages from the freezer. I'm going to make two portions, one for tonight and one for tomorrow's lunch. Back to soup for work lunches next week, I've missed my soup, don't know why I didn't make a batch on Sunday like I usually do, too busy decluttering I think.
Money wise it will be a NSD and I need to do my mid-week budget check albeit a day late.

Glad the event went well.
I love self checkouts, I can just nip in and out, and don't have to make forced conversation."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney2 -

My preference is shop and scan, mainly so I don't have to lift everything into the trolley, on to the conveyor belt, into bags and back into the trolley, out of the trolley and into the car. Saves my back from hurting as much.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Another working week done ✔️
Worked in the office today and finished just after lunchtime.Stopped off at Lid! on the way home, picked up a family pack of peppers as my free vegetable item. Annoying one of my 15% off coupons is the garlic paste that I use a lot but they’re out of stock 😞 They’ve had another move around of shelves and it threw me out as I write my shopping list in order of shelves. The store looks a bit of a mess at the moment as they’re obviously trying to move shelves around while they’re still open.DD managed to lock the young cat in the shed while I was at work. Fortunately she realised she hadn’t seen her for a while and went to check. We haven’t really done anything for Valentines other than a card. I put my foot down on unnecessary presents a few years ago after Mr SA completely blew the budget buying me a diamond bracelet pre illness days. It was a nice thought but he didn’t even think about whether we could afford it. Took a few months to clear off the credit card. I still have the bracelet but panic every time I wear it in case I lose it. One good thing that came out of his illness is he is no longer out there spending money we don’t have on things we don’t need.No visitors again this weekend so the plan is to clean all the woodwork in the house. Exciting eh 🤣🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
I cleaned the windows yesterday after months of not being able to. Actually felt very therapeutic when I had finished until.I saw the water in the karcher and realised how bad it had got! I only managed downstairs as well!
It's always frustrating when the item is out of stock.
A diamond bracelet, wow. I bet cards are nice and more personal.
February is flying by.September 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x3 -
@Willowtree222 I’m blaming you for me cleaning the windows as well as the woodwork 🤣
Anyway today’s doings. Decided to go to the big Mr T with the soft plastics early this morning before the forecast rain started. Forgot it was quiet hour where there isn’t any music and the lights are dimmed so it felt weird like the shop wasn’t really open. Got Mr SA a pair of shorts for £3 and a sweatshirt for £11 in the sale. I had a 15% off code on my Clubcard so even cheaper in the end. He was really happy with them.Took the dog for a walk on the park when I got back before I took my coat off. She wasn’t over enthusiastic as it was drizzling and cold.
Got back home and Mr SA went to make himself a coffee and the milk had run out 😞 He must’ve known it was running low and also knew I was going to the big Mr T. So back out again to the local shops for milk. Picked up bread as no doubt that will be running out soon.
Blast from the past at the local shops. Heard someone call my name and it was an old heartthrob of mine from school. Oh my days he was my schoolgirl crush when I was 14. The times I used to sit on the library floor (sit as opposed to standing as I thought this would make me more noticeable) waiting for him to pass so I could collapse into heaps of giggles with my friend. Nothing ever came of it until a couple of years later when I bumped into him at a local pub aged 16 (yes under age drinking lager and blackcurrant 😬) We had a bit of a brief flirtation that never really amounted to anything much other than a snog and a slow dance as it turned out he had a girlfriend at the time, which I was heartbroken about. Then a while later, when he was free, he asked me out and for some reason I stood him up 🤔The last thing I remember is him confronting me angrily and telling me to grow up - I was 17! Anyway we had a good chat and I said I was surprised he remembered me. He said I don’t really look any different, bearing in mind it’s been well over 40 years since he last saw me and told me off 😬 I did think back to how my 14 year old self would’ve done anything for him to just notice me let alone remember me after such a long time.On a more mundane note, tonight’s dinner was Mexican bean burger with potato wedges and salad.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7
