Glad you got to watch LA, so did we. Opened the Christmas sherry & a Baileys for DH. Feel Christmassy now. Especially love the last scene where the young lad runs after the girl, and Rowan Atkinson smile as he turns round. You mentioned not seeing many animated films....have you ever seen Polar Express? That's a great one.Making the debt go down and savings go up

That's the final Monday of the working year done. Worked in the office until just after lunchtime and finished up at home.
Second NSD in a row but only 2 in total so far this month. Picked up my free Ner0 coffee.
Usual Monday finance check done and cc balance paid off. An oddment of £6.68 went to the Christmas 2025 pot. Also sent the money for my new not yet got phone to the savings account where it can stay until I need to replace it or see a good deal. At least the money is set to one side.
Today's exercise was walking to/from work and will be doing GFWR advent calendar challenge day 16 shortly.
Tonight's dinner is sweet potato, chickpea and spinach curry as I have sweet potatoes, spinach and half a jar of chickpeas all need using up. 2025 will be the year I finally get the small freezer defrosted 🤣 It will be my main focus over the next few weeks food wise.

Morning all, happy Tuesday. This time next week it will be Christmas Eve - I'm sure no one needs reminding 🤣
WFH today, finishing at 11 as it's the trip to the pantomime today so need to do some lunch and get ready to be there for 1pm at the very latest as it starts at 1.30 and there will be the faff of getting Mr SA to his seat. He has an end seat booked with very few steps to go down so should be fine but he's stressing about it already. I'm looking forward to it even if he isn't.
Mr M delivery arrived earlier and is all packed away. Got another delivery on Thursday and I need to be mindful that this is my last delivery until 2 January so will need to make sure all the heavy bulky stuff is ordered. Fresh stuff can be bought locally and we have a good choice of supermarkets within walking distance so can easily nip out for milk and bread. The 15p veg will be bought at the weekend so will have a good stock up. It's easy to get sucked up into panic buying mode at this time of year but the reality is we don't need that much as we only have visitors on Christmas Eve and that's just a buffet. We don't have a traditional Christmas dinner as no one likes it, Mr SA would be happy with fish and chips. I do try to do something a bit different though.
Today's exercise will be walking to/from the city centre, GFWR advent challenge day 17 and resistance bands tonight.
Tonight's dinner is a portion of lentil stew left over from Sunday.

I think we have enough food to feed an army for Christmas.
There will be no waste though. The freezers will get topped up with any leftovers.2 -
My GK’s school for years always went to watch a Panto, which was lovely as some children had never been to one. It’s a local pantomime in the next town. This is the first year they haven’t gone, it’s due to the price of the coaches. The school said they needed about 5 coaches but they are so expensive. The school would pay so much towards the coach price with the parents picking up the remainder. Due to the raising costs the school didn’t feel it was appropriate for parents to pay so much more as they are concerned it’s a tough time for families at Xmas and sadly the school didn’t have the funds for them. We’re having a quiet Xmas this year just the 2 of us, and we can’t wait. Having family around on Boxing Day so that will be busy but so looking forward to the actual day. Xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.003

I will admit the pantomime wasn’t the best one we’ve ever been to. I can’t put my finger on what was lacking maybe special effects 🤔 The best part was before it started when they were playing Christmas songs in the theatre and everyone was singing along to All I Want For Christmas which was lovely. There was a load of schoolchildren there and one of the teachers was conducting them singing. We went for a drink in the bar afterwards and I had the most gorgeous Christmas gin in a fabulous glass which I managed to find on eBay (glass not the gin) so have treated myself. We’re off to the theatre again on Monday and I’m thinking about booking us in for a meal nearby beforehand as today was a bit of a rush and it was really busy when we arrived. If I book the meal for 5pm that will allow us plenty of time to eat then cross over the road to the theatre for a 7.30 start.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9

Signed up to emails from the restaurant I was thinking of booking for Monday and have a free main course code. Booked a table for 5pm and the plan is to have pizza and Prosecco between us then cross over to the theatre. Then a cheeky drink in the bar after the show. Surely I will feel Christmassy after that!!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8
