SuzeQStan said:Hey SA are you going pto del Carmen in April again? We are there over Easter from Good Friday till 5th of May this time (bit of an experiment to see if we can cope with a longer visit as thinking about a long term rental once we retire in 5 years). Anyway it made me think of you when I paid the deposit today.

Ooh lovely - big birthday celebrations in a fabulous sunny place - Mr SA is very lucky indeed. The place we normally go gets booked up quickly so we usually book a year in advance. Got lucky this time with the later booking and have managed it using only 9 working days due to the Easter bank holidays and early May bank holiday! We will have to meet up so we can raise a glass of vino together🍷🍾 🥰Lancashire

Lanzarote is finally booked for Mr SA’s 60th next April. Jet2 had £100 off plus I received a £60 off voucher if I booked by the end of October. Got free seats courtesy of Mr SA needing special assistance. It’s a hotel we haven’t stayed in before and it’s a bit more than we usually pay but it’s a boutique hotel with great reviews and you get your own sunbeds on the balcony which is brilliant for me while Mr SA has his siesta. Also disabled friendly which is a must. We will be flying on his actual birthday but he’s not bothered as it’s a great flight time 10.30 out and 11.50 on the way back so no red eye flights.Been dithering about it for a while so glad the decision has been made 🥳I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)11

That sounds perfect! And yes please - a holiday countdown is essential, though we might let you off doing a daily one. I think lots of us enjoy watching your holidays getting nearer, and then seeing your lovely photos when you're away!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Happy Saturday 🥂
Have been really busy today. Was really pleased to discover a bonus Zumba class was on this morning so did that, although my iPad kept buffering so spoiled it a bit.Mr SA used up the last of the milk so DD wasn’t happy when she got up for her breakfast. Very annoying that no one tells me when it’s running out, I don’t use milk so don’t know!
So straight after Zumba hot footed it down to the little Mr T for milk and a paper. The trip was worthwhile as I also picked up a big bag of sweet potatoes for 59p, tender stem broccoli reduced to 70p and some panini rolls for 48p. The little Mr T is better than the big one for bargains. Then took the dog on the park and litter picked. There was a football match on so we were confined to the bottom end.As the weather has been beautiful today I stripped the bed and washed the bedding also the washing that’s been out for the past 2 days finally dried.Got all my autumn/winter bags of clothes out and packed away the summer things which were packed in the new bags from Am@zon. The new bags are brilliant, really pleased with them.Gave the living room a good clean then started on the garden. Trimmed back a few shrubs and managed to fill the garden waste bin ready for it to be collected next week. Finally got to sit on my sunbed to read my book for an hour before having a lovely soak in the bath with candles.Although the weather was warm and sunny all day it started to turn at 4pm and you could see the lightning over the airport. It’s raining now.Tonight’s dinner has been beetroot burger with wedges and salad.Just need to clear up in the kitchen then it’s Strictly and pink Prosecco, happy days 🙂I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6
