Happy March - spring is coming but not yet, the weather has been dire today.
Stayed in the office for a full day today shock eh 😆 It was super busy and anyone arriving after 8 am was struggling to find a desk. There’s talk of us going to 3 days a week WFH as there just isn’t room for us all despite a brand new huge 9 storey building. That would suit me just fine, I would just go in Mondays and Fridays when it’s not so busy.
NSD 1 of March today. Have received £10 account credit for the 🐙 energy saving sessions, better than nothing. Will hit well over 20,000 steps from walking to/from work and a live Zumba class at 6pm.Tonight’s dinner is something very simple and quick - smoked haddock fish cake with loads of steamed veg.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
SA you are better medicine than a sunny spring day - your diary always cheers me up thank you.
congrats on the 🐙 savings

Happy Thursday, another week flying by.
WFH today thank goodness as I didn't wake up until 6.30 this morning! That's the time I like to be leaving the house.
It was going to be another NSD but we are down to the last 2 slices of bread which won't be enough for Mr SA's breakfast tomorrow. I just went out to the local shops as I didn't fancy the long trudge to Lidl or Aldi especially as I'll pass Lidl on the way home from work tomorrow.
Today's exercise was a walk to the local shops, a lunchtime upper body weights session and I've booked myself on to a FitOn HIIT class at 5pm. I've also downloaded a 30 day plank challenge app so will start that today.
Looked at balances this morning:
Mortgage: £10,195.34 (will be under £10k next month 😁)
Additional borrowing: £1,468.43 (last payment September 2023)
Windows/door: £1699.50 (last payment January 2024)
Total: £13,363.27
I still need to send money to the 3 regular savers.
Tonight's dinner is spiced butternut squash stew with herb dumplings, an old favourite recipe, I also need to use up some butternut squash.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -

Happy Friday 🥳
In the office today but did a short day. I never do a full day on Fridays, I do a bit extra in the week so I can finish early. It wasn’t very busy today plenty of desks.Walked to/from work so just over 17,000 steps. Did day 3 of plank challenge when I got home.Did some shopping in Lidl on the way home and used the £2 off voucher. Have yet to experience this supposed shortage of cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers, plenty on the shelves.Tonight’s dinner is a stir fry which is one of my favourite meals to be honest, anything that involves loads of veg 😋
Not a lot planned for the weekend, should be a quiet one. It’s the last few days of the 4 week budget period and hoping to finish with a surplus.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
