I’m so annoyed. VM recommenced the What’s App chat and were on the verge of sorting me out a new deal. I told them I had to go out for a bit and would be offline. I’ve been disconnected from the chat and have had to go right back to the beginning 🤬

  • I have had a similar battle with VM. We have weekend chat and broadband with them and when our current deal came up they wanted to increase from £59 to £75 which I refused to pay. They did a deal in the end where we pay 02 £5 a month for a sim only deal (which  we can’t use) and £42 to VM so less than before for the same product.  The whats app chat is a pain unless you have ages to deal with it. Pain having the 02 DD as well but still less overall. Glad you feeling better.

I’m now back to where I was this time yesterday and back waiting for someone from retentions to find me a deal. I told them I’ve seen a deal with Sky for £50 a month that includes Netflix. I’ve also seen a good deal with Plusnet who have decent customer reviews.

The GKs have been and gone. I’m now relaxing with my book and keeping an eye on What’s App.

How infuriating about VM, @Sun_Addict. And so random that we should get a positive response to the same request..it just shows there's no rhyme or reason to it, doesn't it? I agree re the multiple bill rises. There must be so many people defaulting on bills, & the April energy cap rise is now very much hoving into view.
I feel I can't commit confidently to anything atm, as I need to know exactly what 2023/4's monthly bills spreadsheet is going to look like.
I'd personally like to see a nationalised broadband provider set up, just providing broadband, no TV channels, mobiles or anything else.....just reliable fast broadband at an affordable price now that WFH is much more common, for educational equality of opportunity & without any shareholders to pay.

Me too. Time these broadband providers got their acts together.

Not heard a thing since 14.30. Guess it will all resume again tomorrow. Probably not the best time to contact them at the weekend particularly as they’ve just issued customers with increased costs notifications. If they don’t come back with a decent offer soon I will definitely be going elsewhere.

I was close to being offered a really good broadband only deal when I was cut off from the chat and am now back at the beginning again. This is so frustrating. It’s making me feel very stressed.

We’ve been out with the dog this morning so she’s had a good run. It’s a glorious sunny day but very cold.

I need to clean round the house today ready for going back to the office tomorrow. I also need to make a batch of soup for work lunches. This week’s meal plan is being rolled over to next week seeing as I hardly ate anything. Tonight’s dinner is a recipe from my new cookbook- tofu, broccoli & butternut squash with tahini sauce.

Today will be NSD 9 of February, can’t see the total hitting double figures though. Have cashed out £5.03 from PA and will cash out QM later.

    Dinner sounds delish!

Very annoying re the bb offer - part of me wonders if they are hoping to wear everyone down and that people will give up and go away.

it might be the only way forward is to join elsewhere - are there penalties for leaving your existing contract?

I know it’s painful to move broadband - very much so - had my own situation with that back in September and decided after that I’d was resigned to pay more just for reliable service. I WFH like you but full
    time.

We haven’t been contact yet by our ISP but reckon its only a matter of time. Not sure what we will do once the price soars.

What a nightmare trying to get sorted with the broadband. Hopefully you’ll get sorted soon.
