Glad you enjoyed Happy Valley SA 😊Shame James Norton plays such a wrongun as he is rather easy on the eye 😉
hope VM played fair?
meant to ask you - have you been to that Mexican/steakhouse hybrid on the new town strip in PDC? We ended up QUEUEING for half an hour to get in there last time. About the same for La Cascade/Bodega in old town. We found that if we went to eat at 8pm instead of 7:30 we got in straight away wherever we went. Our favourite Chinese buffet was away visiting family in China when we last went in January (red dragon) so we found a nice big buffet Wok Asia Garden where the old McDonald’s used to be above the amusements arcade.Best meal was definitely Mumbai Masala on the strip - great atmosphere and staff - enjoyed sitting outside watching the sunset. Can highly recommend it but not sure if Mr SA is a fan of curry?Sorry we just booked our flights so I’m getting all excited now - roll on April!Lancashire

We usually end up in Mumbai Masala at some stage. Mr SA likes a good curry. We love Good Old Days for lunch and gin of the day. Cafe La Ola for the music and beautiful sea front location. Mr SA isn’t a massive fan of Chinese food but he likes Asia Delicious. There are so many great places to eat you’re spoilt for choice. We stayed up Cardiac Hill last April which isn’t anywhere near as bad as everyone makes out, all the hills are like it where I live. This year we’re near the Casino end for a change.Still in a queue for VM but now on What’s App 🙄I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

oh dear that is a long time to be on hold - you are very patient I would have give up
by nowWe are always up Cardiac Hill as we stay same place every time - I cannot wait to tell OH about your name for it as we have a very different name for it which is too rude to type here haha!
It is very funny watching the Dolly birds trying to totter up/downhill in their platform heels. And you are guaranteed at least one fender bender a nite without fail on that road as folk forget their emergency brakes when they park.
will give cafe La ola another try on your recommendation - haven’t been for years - I remember when they built that and it bankrupted the developers because they had built on the wrong side of the road with no planning permission.Hope the chat wait finishes soon 🤞🏻🤞🏻Lancashire

La Ola has a new owner who has upped the entertainment a fair bit there day and night. The saxophonist is brilliant but you have to book it gets so busy. They are now reviewing my account and looking at what deals they can offer me. They’d better hurry up as I’m getting tired and will be off to bed soon!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

No joy with VM 🙁 They won’t offer me a better deal. Next step is to find a better one. Time to vote with my feet. They have put me through to Customer Retentions who will review my account further apparently. Not holding my breath this time even though I’ve been successful with them in the past.A bloke at work left them and is with a bespoke broadband provider with much better speeds for a lot less but he is very techie, can’t remember the company, not one I’ve heard of.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Oh and Tesc0 mobile want to increase my sim only price so another thing to sort out.Where do these places think we are all going to get this extra money from as wages etc aren’t increasing in line with inflation 🤔I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

We actually cancelled our broadband service last time and then low and behold they could suddenly offer us a much better deal.
Unfortunately in the meantime we had taken out a new contract with VM. We were well within our 14 day cool off period with VM but cancelling turned out to be an absolute nightmare. So much so I vowed I would never go near them again!5 -
Happy Saturday 🥂
Nice to wake up feeling normal again, you take it for granted until you have a bout of illness.I have a live ClubFit class at 8.45 then I will be going to the big Mr T for a paper and some coffee pods (forgot to order this week). I also take the soft plastic recycling there. It’s a good walk for me and the dog and gets Mr SA out of his chair. No doubt the What’s App battle with VM will recommence at some stage.Tonight’s dinner is beetroot burger with wedges and salad. Rose cava is chilling in the fridge already.DS and the GKs are due to come here today. DS usually confirms later in the morning.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
How infuriating about VM, @Sun_Addict. And so random that we should get a positive response to the same request..it just shows there's no rhyme or reason to it, doesn't it? I agree re the multiple bill rises. There must be so many people defaulting on bills, & the April energy cap rise is now very much hoving into view.
I feel I can't commit confidently to anything atm, as I need to know exactly what 2023/4's monthly bills spreadsheet is going to look like.
I'd personally like to see a nationalised broadband provider set up, just providing broadband, no TV channels, mobiles or anything else.....just reliable fast broadband at an affordable price now that WFH is much more common, for educational equality of opportunity & without any shareholders to pay.
