Just to let you know I've now tried the lentil and mushroom casserole and it's a keeper! I used half the quantity of marmite and it was still a bit salty for my taste so perhaps next time I will miss out any added salt - but as you mentioned, leaving the marmite out is a perfectly feasible alternative (unless you like marmite as much as I do).
I made yogurt and flour dumplings too, which suited the rest of it very well.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Happy Friday 🙂
Day off work for me, I thought it was Saturday when I woke up this morning.Out of interest I weighed myself first thing and I’ve lost 3.5lbs in less than a week which is a whopping amount for me as I’m only little. I fully expect this to go back on as my eating gets back to normal. Not a recommended way to lose weight though other diets are available 😆
I still feel very weak and wobbly but am going to try and get some housework done today. I’ve only wiped round and vacuumed this week, done the bare minimum.
I also need to go to Lid1 this morning as we have no bread and we’re also running out of other things. I wish I’d done a bigger online shop but I didn’t realise how long I’d be out of action for. Mr SA was very disappointed to find he only has 3 slices of toast for his breakfast instead of 4 😬
It’s a long walk to Lid1 so will be challenging but it will be good to get outside after being cooped up all week.
I’m going to finish series 1 of Happy Valley today. Mr SA has expressed an interest in it now after dismissing it as something he wouldn’t like without even seeing so much as a trailer for it 🙄I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Morning SA - I think Lid1’s £5 off £25 shop is still running. Me & OH went on Wednesday and since we both have the Lid1 app we bought in £25 of cupboard & freezer essentials each and got a tenner off our shopping.
Bless you on the weight loss - just demonstrates how poorly you were. You need a bit of building back up - hope you are back to full strength very soon.
ps. Just because it’s a day off doesn’t mean you have to clean the house! Rest and relax - especially if you are a bit wobbly still - take it easy SA and have a lovely day off work xxLancashire

I agree with @SuzeQStan, day off is not for cleaning, especially if you have a long walk to the shops as well. The dust will still be there next week when you are feeling better. I used to always worry about cleaning all the time, but as I've got older I realise I was slightly overdoing it a bit....lol. I read a quote once that said "No one ever said, on their death bed..."I wish I'd cleaned the house more"...". Give Mr SA a duster and set him to work.Making the debt go down and savings go up

I’ve just got back from Lid1. Used the £5 off £25 voucher. I must say absolutely no signs of fruit and veg shortage. Lots of tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers, restricted to 3 items per customer but ample stocks. Certainly no empty shelves which is almost a miracle in that particular Lid1 😆
The walk there and back is 10,000 steps so have earned another episode of Happy Valley I think.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
At the blue supermarket last night there was no salad stuff at all.4
