I thought I felt a bit better tonight so made myself some air fried salmon with steamed vegetables. Ended up giving most of it to the dog. I’m definitely improving though as last night I wouldn’t have been able to bear the thought of it.It was another energy savings hour at 5.30 with 🐙 but still struggling to get Mr SA on board with this.Watched episode 2 of Happy Valley. Really enjoying it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Are you on season 3 Happy Valley or starting from the beginning SA?
so pleased to hear appetite has returned at least a bit - and reckon your sweet little dog is happy to eat a bit of salmon until you bounce back.

I’m so jealous of you starting from the beginning - I can’t wait to watch the whole lot again in a couple years when it’s a bit less fresh in the mind

Glad to hear you are a bit better. You must be on the home stretch now.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

We completely lost our appetites with the flu type bug that we had at Christmas. We didn't eat properly for a couple of weeks, we just didn't want to eat, even though we knew that we should.
That didn't register as Covid on the tests so we assume it was a type of flu. It was certainly much worse than a cold virus.
Try and get plenty of rest. Although I know that is easier said than done in your house!3 -
Morning all
WFH again today. There's no way I can make it into the office, I wouldn't be allowed to anyway with the lurgy. I'm going to see how I go as I'm aching all over. My stomach didn't appreciate me trying to give it food last night and has been gurgling all night. I've been ok with the ginger tea and slice of toast this morning so far.
Mr SA has only just got up and is already getting on my nerves as he's claiming he feels poorly (yet again!) but it doesn't appear to have put him off his 4 slices of toast for breakfast. I'm sure it's so he doesn't have to help out. I've noticed on the rare occasions I'm unwell he suddenly has the same symptoms but much worse!
I've downloaded the £5 off voucher from Lidl onto the app. This was in today's MSE newsletter. You need to spend £25 to get it and it's valid for 6 days. Surely I'll be well enough to take advantage of it.
In other money dealings, today will be NSD 7 of February, I sent oddments to the Christmas and the 1p saver pots and also added some money to the holiday pot.

Your work should give you a medal (or a pay rise, which is more useful) for keeping on working no matter what.
Sounds as though Mr SA could do with lying down in a darkened room till he feels better. Preferably during an energy savings hour.
Thanks for mentioning the £5 off £25 spend at Lidl - I would have missed it if you hadn't said. I'll get it on my app and check the email in case I find anything else useful.
Get well soon. If it lasts three days then you're nearly there.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
