SA, does your local health board have anything like this https://gloucestershirecarershub.co.uk/i-need-a-break/ that you can access? They might be able to organise someone to pop in on your OH during the day for the next few days to give you time to recover. And they have lots of longer term support options, even helping people organise short respite stays and buddy systems for other carers to support each other.
Yes I’m a member of the local carers hub.  I got free gym membership once via them. Hopefully this bug won’t last long enough to look into help, lasts about 3 days I believe.

Morning all. My tummy feels a bit better today and the griping pains have eased. I now have headache, aching all over and generally feeling wobbly. I managed a slice of toast and a cup of lemon and ginger tea earlier. I woke up in the night drenched in sweat with a banging headache so took some painkillers. I'm WFH today but will see how I go and will finish early if need be. Had I not been able to WFH I would've definitely called in sick as there's no way I could go to the office with this.

Mr M delivery arrived at 6.30 with no missing items or subs. This week's voucher was £2 off laundry so bought a laundry liquid for £3 and only paid £1.

No idea if I'll fancy eating anything for the rest of the day, will play it by ear. I hate feeling ill.

Morning SA - you know yourself best but it does sound like you might be better off resting rather than WFH - take care xx

Take the day off and rest up. I'm sure they can manage without you.
  • Hope you feel better soon. You really should rest. Have you done a covid test? It can have same strange symptoms.

I'm glad you are well enough for toast and tea - and maybe work will help distract you from how you're feeling - but please rest too!
