That's Monday almost done. Worked in the office this morning then came home after lunch, just got another hour to finish off.
Got caught in a shower walking into work this morning but then the sun came back out. There was a really loud thunderstorm late morning you could even hear it in our sound-proof building. Great views of the lightening from the 6th floor. It was quite funny as it was really quiet in the office until the storm started then everyone was going 'ooh look at that' and chatting about it 😆
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work just over 18,000 steps so should finish the day on over 20,000. Looking forward to WFH tomorrow as have clocked up 124,981 steps since last Wednesday and could do without a day of pavement pounding.
Monday finance check done and cc balance cleared. Money transferred from personal spends pot to cover my spends on Friday and Saturday.
Going to do a meal plan from today up until my birthday a week on Friday. I'm also going to get back on tracking my food on the WW app for the next 10 days. Same with spending. Having a 10 day mini reset 😁 It's the last week of the 4 week budget period and aiming for a decent underspend.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
I'm always in awe of your step count. Good luck with the mini-reset"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney1

A bedroom reburb….exciting.
The buses are dire - although tbh we don’t do too badly here in comparison to other places. The trams are my favourite to travel on.January spends - £587.582 -
Felt I needed a good soak in the bath after work as not had one for a week. I tend to have showers when the weather is hot. Couldn’t believe how dirty my legs were, covered in grit. I’ve put it down to walking to work in this morning’s shower and the grit from the pavement has stuck to my body butter 🤣🤣 Good job I was sitting on a row of desks all by myself at work otherwise people would be thinking who’s this woman who doesn’t wash her legs 🤣🤣
Tonight’s dinner was stir fry using up veg from the fridge.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Mr PIP and I have been sitting with cheaper store bought beer in the communal garden rather than spending money going to the pub for the last couple of evenings, so have been having a wee spray of mozzie repellent.
I had completely forgotten that it makes any plastic colouring stick to you, and despite washing I still have green marks on my arms from tucking under a M&S carrier bag 😁
Good thing I work from home where I can look even more disgraceful than usual!5 -
Your step count is incredible.
your gritty legs and PIP's green arms made me smile! What a double act 😎5 -
Morning all, happy Tuesday.
WFH today. I love my Tuesdays WFH days as it frees up the 2 hours I would've spent walking to/from work to get jobs around the house done.
Today's exercise will be taking the dog on the park later this morning, bums and tums at lunchtime and resistance bands tonight.
Mr M delivery has been and all packed away.
Making a batch of spiced courgette soup for work lunches today. I know it's not exactly soup weather but it's something quick and easy to heat up at lunchtime and it will use up some of my courgette stocks. I'm happy to eat hot food in hot weather and equally cold food in cold weather it doesn't bother me. I need to sort out something for tonight's dinner.
Cleaning task is the kitchen. Garden task is weeding, the garden waste bin is being emptied today so can start filling it back up again.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
I've been making soup too, to deal with a backlog of veg. Also it's healthy lunches made easy...
Do you have a recipe for the spiced courgette soup you could share please? I don't have a courgette plant but there are courgettes in the freezer.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)
