Happy Saturday 🥂
Did my usual ClubFit class this morning then took the dog on the park followed by a trip to the big Mr T with the soft plastic recycling. Noticed Mr SA’s lager is on offer and cheaper than Mr M even with the discount so got 2 crates.Got home, had lunch then went for a look at a local boutique’s birthday party event with 20% off everything and free Prosecco. Bought 2 tops and a pair of jeans which I’m really pleased with. They’re already very reasonably priced so 20% off was even better. Supporting a local small business too. When I got back home DS and the GKs were here.Tonight’s dinner is beetroot burger with sweet potato wedges and salad. Prosecco chilling in the fridge ready for when I finally get to put my feet up.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -

You are doing very well for Prosecco recently!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Public transport in this country is disgusting, and I say that from my 'privileged' position of the much 'better' transport in London. It is all unreliable, expensive, and largely grim. So upsetting when it makes such a difference to literally everything that matters in individual, social, and economic terms
If you go to Prezz0, they have an in-house comp on at the moment where if you spend over £60 (not including tip, or presumably freebies) you get a scratch card to win an instant prize (probably a discount voucher so you have to go back) but you can also get entered into a draw to win 10k so if you were thinking of utilising your prosecco for a celebratory meal out, might be worth bearing in mind2 -
That’s Sunday done 😭 Why is the weekend so short!!
Cleaned the whole upstairs of the house first thing then we went to the local park that has a nursery where I bought a few reduced perennials to put in a part of the garden that needs more plants. Took some advice from a member of their staff who is a qualified landscape gardener so hopefully have the right plants. She said I’d made a good choice 🤞Their plants are all very good quality, grown by themselves organically and very well looked after.Spent the afternoon cutting the grass, tidying up the garden and planting the new plants.
I managed to get a small amount of time in my hanging chair finishing off last night’s leftover Prosecco with my book.Did 23,000 steps today so earned the relaxation time.
Tonight’s dinner was a concoction of courgettes, peppers, red onion, tomatoes and basil with tagliatelle and plant based “meatballs”. The courgettes, tomatoes and Basil were from the garden 🙂 A small amount leftover for tomorrow’s work lunch.Tomorrow I’m going to message the plumber to fix the dripping kitchen tap and bathroom tap. Also the joiner who refurbished our bedroom and living room for a quote for DD’s room and the dining room.Absolutely shattered tonight as have been busy for most of the day.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
That sounds like a very productive Sunday, especially in warm weather. Glad you got some prosecco in your hanging chair time, and got to eat home grown grub 😊
Nice home improving plans for tomorrow. Is DD enthused about her room being done or can you just not bear it any longer 😁1 -
